"We chose Owen Gomes after extensive research and lots of comparison shopping. Not only did he give us the absolutely best price....his work was perfect. He and his wife were easy to work with and very helpful. They were patient and answered a boatload of our questions, since we had no experience with granite.  <br /> Having a  U shaped kitchen, I wanted only one center seam. All the other fabricators I spoke with said it couldn't be done. Owen came out to do a template, measured, looked it over, and said yes it could. He did it...and it looks fabulous. We are more than pleased and highly recommend him. <br />"

"I would check with the Better Business Bureau before hiring Romano Tile again.  Rob Romano's  crew overall did a very good job.  They were very pleasant  to have in the house, made good suggestions, and cleaned up any mess before leaving each day.  Rob came in to check on the work periodically and I was always informed as to when they would be here. A shower door had to be a special order. Towards the end of the job, however, things fell apart.  K & D Counters came to measure for the counters and Romano Tile had not removed some of the current counter tops as K & D requested.  Rescheduling put the finish date back ten days.  The plumber wasn't informed of the schedule change so made a futile trip out here.  We ended up the day before Thanksgiving having the old counters pulled out, electric and plumbing disconnected, new counters installed (with a slight cut out error being corrected by grinding which overall made the kitchen look like it was not only was snowing outside, but inside, too!)) and the plumber here a couple of hours patiently waiting until he could hook up the plumbing.  Because of the snow conditions and the late hour, the electrician cancelled out which left us without a stove and 12 people coming for dinner the next day!  We survived and had a good Thanksgiving!  We have yet to see the shower door and Romano has not returned any calls.  I believe he ran into money problems and K&D Counters has not been paid by him. <br />"

"Everything about this vendor's operation was professional. Once we agreed to go with Morningstar, they were very responsive to all our requests and needs. Quick turn-around from template to installation. Same craftsman does the template and supervises the installation. If you intend to spend the money on granite, then you want this kind of expertise and professional attention. By-the-way, they can do a leather finish on any stone counter. Other venders could not offer this. <br />"

"They never followed up with me. They said they were going to but they never did. They seemed to be professional initially but when we started talking about the job and what I was looking to do and it was clear to me that they were trying to upsell me and overprice and they seemed a little deceptive. That was another reason why I wasn't too disappointed they didn't call me back. They were on time when they came out for the estimate."

"The quality of the solid and Engineered wood is very high. Compared to previous product I experienced from other suppliers their finish is harder and less chances of being scratched. Each box of the Solid wood always has two 7' long planks. This give you enough long planks to be used in special situation like establishing the reference start line while installing. Mill work is good, so installation went smoothly. The problem I don't like is that they charged me two different shipments because the solid and the Engineered wood comes from different parts in the US."
