"Hero plumbing very prompt when I originally contacted them. Sent someone out within 2 hours on a Friday evening. The first plumber to come out tried to diagnose the problem, and we thought he had. He ran the snake through the main sewer line to the street, he told me he could feel that there were many large roots in the line and that this should take care of my water backup in the basement. The plumber was curious, very chatty, and he got the job done. 5 days later a camera guy came out to make sure the mainline was clear. He ran the camera down and notified me that there were and are no roots in the line. I was told I had some rusting and pitting in the cast iron line. He recommended the line be power washed to clear out the pitting. Quoted me $3200, and told me about the 0% interest offer they had going on. Asked if I wanted to see if I would qualify for the program. After we entered some information into the computer, I was told I would qualify. About a week later a credit card arrives in my mailbox. Never did I know I was applying for a credit card with them. Seemed a deceitful way to get Approximately 2 weeks after the camera, on a Friday, I have water backed up into my basement again. I called to see if someone could come out since I was having guests. I was told no one could come out until Saturday. I find this unacceptable, since they had sent 2 plumbers out, and was told the problem was taken care of. I ended up calling another plumbing company that was able to help out the same day and hopefully did the work correctly."

"I cannot recommend Eric and Halvorsen Sewer Service highly enough. They have integrity, great pricing, and great service. He saved me from bring ripped-off by a large sewer company to the tune of thousands of dollars. Our sewer backed up on a Sunday and as a first-time homeowner experiencing something like that for the first time, I panicked and called a large sewer/plumbing company. They came out right away and cleared the sewer line. They brought out a guy with a camera who scoped our sewer line and told me it was broken and required an emergency replacement, costing $17,000+ to replace the entire sewer line. I called around for a 2nd opinion and found Halvorsen Sewer Service. Eric responded to me on a Sunday, expressing concern with the assessment by the large company and offering to come take a look at it for me the next day. Eric used his camera and quickly told me that the sewer line WASN'T BROKEN. The perceived break was a buildup of concrete slurry on the bottom of the pipe, causing some water to pool. Eric cleared the concrete slurry from the pipe and told me that he did not think any repairs were necessary. He even provided me with a copy of the video of my sewer line which the large company did not do. I sent the video to a 3rd company and they confirmed Eric's opinion that no repairs to the sewer line were necessary. "I called joe to come out and he came out within week for maintance cleaning.I have had him out before and did a great job.He was having problems passing the line and knew something was wrong.He got his camera and went thru the line and saw something at the end of the line and didn't know what it was.He called the city to come out and look at it  and it turned out I had a manhole cover in my front yard that needed to be flushed by the city.He did all this without charging me extra.I can't begin to tell you what peace of mine this gives me with my sewer line.Joe was so professional and knew exactly who to talk to with the city utility and he got the city to come out right away. <br />"

"After having repeated sewer backups, we decided to repair/replace the sewer line at our 1941 house through the City of Saint Paul's program which allows you to pay for the repairs over 20 years. We contacted several contractors for bids. The majority of solutions proposed involved digging up our front lawn and possibly the street in order to 1) replace the line completely or 2) jam 4" PVC into the existing 6" clay tile line. Capra's offered CIPP piping which could be installed with only a hole in the floor - saving us landscaping costs - and one heck of a big mess. Scott from Capra came and gave me the quote, he was on-time and explained the options clearly -- very nice guy. Mike Capra emailed me the quote and discussed the options with me some more on the phone. After awarding them the work, they came out and cleaned the line, videoed the line and prepared for the CIPP install. The crew was very nice, and kept the work area very clean for a very messy job. The installation of the CIPP the next day when extremely smoothly. They were onsite the majority of the day while the piping cured but hung out in their trailer parked on the street. When they were done, they patched the concrete floor and cleaned up. The concrete patch was not the best I have ever seen but is functionally fine. Billing and the paperwork with the city went fine. I have to say they were one of the easiest contractors I have ever worked with. I would definitely recommend them."

"<p>After arriving as schedule I explained the issues that were occurring and he assessed the problem which I agreed with since I had already tried what I could with what was available for the general consumer. He uncapped the drain cap, turned the water on until it backed up in the floor drain then shut it off and proceeded with the claw auger on the snake to 100' which unclogged the drain somewhere along the way, he then ran the double sided auger blade that is about the size of the pipe again 100' to insure that it would be clear. We then filled the bathtub half way, basement sink, bathroom sinks and let them all drain at once, we also flushed all toilets mind you all at the same time to insure that the pipe was clear (it better be) and to flush the drain completely.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>Needless to say it was clear with no back up with the amount of water that was running down all drains. It was the best $168.00 I has spent in a long time! As a home owner you would understand this when you have been trying to do this yourself for about 2-3 weeks with out success.</p> <br />"
