"The technicians showed up the next day to give us a quote, and then (once we agreed to the quote) they were able to start work immediately (same day). They installed a chimney cap, sealed two other old chimney pipes (no longer in use), sealed the stone of the chimney itself and also installed a flexible crown seal. It was more than we thought to have done on the chimney, but the peace of mind is worth it. They finished in about 1.5 hours and did a great job. Would hire again."

"This is my first time using Angie and I couldn’t be more pleased. Marcus reached out to me shortly after I submitted an inquiry and we met the next day. He did a thorough review of what repairs were needed and showed me photos of what had to be done. His estimate was very fair and within a week we scheduled an appointment. Marcus showed up on time and did an outstanding job with the repairs. He was very neat and what impressed me the most was his professionalism. I’ve already recommended his company to my neighbor and a family member. Very pleased"

"I called the week before Christmas to schedule an inspection/cleaning.  Kelly answered the phone immediately, scheduled me for 12/23 so we could enjoy a fire for Christmas.  She called the night before to confirm.  The two guys showed up on time and were very courteous. They inspected the chimney and determined that it didn't need to be cleaned. They checked the furnace flue and confirmed that it vents to the outside so that also didn't need cleaning.  They charged me $70 for the inspection which I was able to charge to my credit card. They recommended frequency of inspections/cleanings and left within 5-10 minutes.   <br />"

"Everything was excellent.  John came out the next day and gave me a fair estimate for the work I knew needed to be done.  John was very nice and professional.  He dismantled old chimney, as it was past the point of repair. He replaced the flashing free of charge just done by the roofers a few months prior because it was not up to his standards after he inspected it up close.  The entire chimney was rebuilt with new bricks. The design and workmanship was excellent.  A new stainless steel cap and flue was installed.  John had to set up extensive staging and took care not to damage the new roof that was just installed.  Everything was clean and neat after he was done.  The entire project took three days.  I was very happy with the work, and I will be using John for maintenance for as long as I own the home. <br />"

"When we were getting quotes for this job, Mike was the only one to ask to come into the house and examine the chimney from the bottom where it connected to the furnace. It had been so long since it had been cleaned that it was just horrible! He showed me, using a mirror, all the debris from 25 years of burning oil and having fires in the fireplace. It was frightening! He explained to us that our fairly new furnace was not working efficiently because of the clogged chimney. Then he sat with us at the dining room table and explained everything to us and what each item in the quote was. He showed us all his proofs of license and insurance as well as a list of references. He was so professional and knowledgeable as well as very polite and personable. His quote was quite a bit higher than the others but no one had included the major cleaning, steel cover or the repair of the damper. In fact the others had merely stepped out of their trucks, looked up at the chimney, and quoted a price that covered the chimney only. I so appreciated Mike's thorough examination and complete restoration of our chimney system to restore us to safe and clean use of our fireplace again. <br />"

"Did a great job on our gutters! Responded quick to inquiry. Quick turnaround. Accommodated our schedule. Pricing was clear. Had gutters done by other places in the past and they didn't do a good job. Highly recommended. <br />"

"I decided to go with Millstream because of the reviews on Angi and other websites. As contracted, Millstream replaced my roof in a day and installed a ridge vent. Supervision of work and post installation inspection was poor that I had to request a replacement inspector. I had to inform them of missed gable vent closure; loose shingle, wavy ridge vent line. Most importantly, I had to research; and inform them that a Ridge vent needs multiple soffit openings and I had only 1. They agreed it was a miss and said they would fix the issue so I could “BREATHE PROPERLY” in my house. And they charged me additional $850. Nonetheless I am currently enjoying my new roof!"

"I contacted Home Facelifters to remove a small concrete barrier from my garage, to repair the porch at the end of my house that was developing cracks and holes around the foundation, and to perform a couple of handyman tasks (replace a doorknob and replace smoke detectors). Joe replied to my inquiry and came out to give me an estimate within a couple of days of when I contacted him. When he and his crew started working on the porch repair they found that the problems were much more extensive than originally anticipated. The porch was actually pulling away from the house, and as the crew started to work on the porch they found a couple of large cracks running the length of the foundation under the floor of the porch, making it unsafe. It was clear to all of us that the porch would have to be replaced. Joe quickly came up with some estimates and found a solution to retain the roof over one end of the porch. He proposed replacing the porch with a new deck. The crew supported the roof on the side of the porch and removed the underlying porch and the concrete slabs. They dug holes for new piers and footing and poured concrete. It was also discovered there was some old (not active) termite damage on the lower side of the house where the new deck would be attached (this was damage that was treated when I bought the house 16 years ago so it was no longer active but the bottom portion of part of that side of the house had to be repaired and reshingled). During the entire process Joe was great about communicating the latest set-back and keeping me up to date on additional expenses. In the end the crew built a beautiful new deck with railings up to code. The job was much more complicated than what I originally anticipated and ended up being more expensive but was necessary. I may have been able to get the work done elsewhere for slightly less money but I do not know that I would have received the same quality craftsmanship. Joe and his assistant were great to work with throughout the process. They communicated clearly about when they were going to show up and about the progress of the work. They worked long days, often after dark, in freezing cold weather but finished most of the work as quickly as possible. There are still a couple of things left to be done (painting and building stairs to the deck) but those things have to wait until warmer weather. This is the second time I have used Home Facelifters for a major project at my home, and I highly recommend them."
