My ceilings would not support conventional tiles, and I refused to put an unrated and unrecommended flammable roof on my house. After months of research, I found a 50 yr. guaranteed lighter weight tile from a highly regarded Canadian company. None of the roofers I contacted were interested in working with an unfamiliar material. Lorin, on the other hand, was enthused about the opportunity to try something new. It required an online training session and a fairly complicated process of ordering and receiving materials from another country another currency. Through the whole process, Lorin was upbeat and positive. And, I can't say enough about his crew who worked really hard in the most miserable of weather conditions. Thanks to Tru North I now have a Class A rated tile roof made of a composite material that looks like cedar shakes. "

"My experience with Aylwin Construction was 5 stars. They did the job in just three days and added copper-beaded shingles for moss control for only $100 more. Alywin's Crews were on time and cleaned up as they went, provided protection for our plantings, and did a complete sweep for nails and other debris when finished. My family is looking forward to having Aylwin do a full replacement this year or next with a full Tesla Roof. I was completely surprised to read the recent review regarding the quality of work done by Aylwin Construction at a local condominium. Over the past 20 years, as an owner of one of Portland’s larger boutique industrial real estate firms, I have recommended Aylwin Construction to my biggest and best real estate investors. Making a poor recommendation would reflect poorly on me and my company. I have recommended Aylwin Construction to friends with structurally difficult Mid-Century solid deck roofs, large REIT buildings throughout Oregon and Washington, medium Family-owned apartments, and my own family members for roof cleaning, on Mt. Hood, new gutter systems, and full roof replacements and repairs. Multi-million-dollar Multi-Family jobs have been completed Professionally and on time without fail. "They came to my home early 2024 for my roof. Told the sales team what I could afford. Sales team wrote down a quote 26,000 (roughly). They didn't go over financing paperwork. They put in for 29,000 for my loan. My minimum payment doesn't include the interest so my bill keeps going up. The regional manager declines to speak to me even though I've spoken to several representatives whom say the regional manager will call me but never does to discuss this discrepancy. This company will not be honest or upfront. Will do and say anything for a sale. This is a huge regret and financially screwed over by this company"
