"Art and his brother Mark were prompt, professional, and payed great attention to detail. Both men had wonderful manners and were very communicative about the costs and timing involved in cleaning our carpeting. Their customer service is rarely found in today’s environment! The men arranged to pick up my oriental rug before they came to my home to clean the wall to wall carpeting. On the day Art and Mark came to clean the carpet they brought the oriental rug with them so that it could be placed in my great room on the same day. The oriental rug is now in like new condition. The stains in the wall to wall carpet seem to have all been removed. The method that was used in cleaning did not leave my carpet wet but rather a damp dry which now, 5 hours later, is totally dry. Art told me he would return to re-treat spots that might reappear later. Art and Mark worked great as a team. They moved furniture to clean under and around it. They replaced the furniture before they left. The job was done in the exact time frame they gave me. I have moved many times and used different carpet cleaners. I thought no one could top the cleaning company I used before moving to Texas. Heaven’s Best has out surpassed any other carpet cleaning company I have used in the past! I will be using Heaven’s Beat next month to clean an seal the flour tile in my kitchen and bathrooms. Art and Mark have a fine work ethic and are excellent at customer service."

"Jim, the owner was very responsive to get to job and it was done well and on time. The problem has been a real lack of follow thru and meeting agreements after installation. I have called, talked to Jim, left voice mails and messages for over a week asking for some kind of written warranty on the carpet and installation. Despite numerous promises, etc, nothing has been received as promised. If you want good customer service after the installation, there are plenty of other options. Very disappointed."

"<p>Wonderful customer-centric experience.  Since we were on the far west side of the city (Alamo Ranch) the company's sales person, Valerie, came out to our house to personally assess our issues with the old carpet, our concerns for new--and what we wanted after everything was completed.  She listened carefully, and came out for a second visit to our home with a better selection of samples tailored to our needs, and nailed it!</p> <p>The installation team came on the promised date and worked tirelessly and professionally to complete the installation.  They were extremely careful and tedious when removing and replacing our furniture and furnishings.  The quality of the seam work and installation was excellent.   I know--I watched them throughout the process.  Would definitely use them again.</p>"

"The flooring crew encountered the same difficulties with the floor preparation in the kitchen as they found previously in the dining room. The tile had been installed on a thick layer of mud that pitted badly when the tile was removed. However, they were able to get the floor flat, level, and smooth by using a lot of mud and leveling compound. Now there are no transitions from the dining room to the kitchen and between the great room and the foyer; the hardwood floor flows uninterrupted. It's all beautiful! <br /> <br /> After the wood-floor installation crew was finished with their work, the carpet guys came and did their work. They removed the old c carpet and pad and installed new pad and carpet in less than three hours. <br /> <br /> As before, the workers were professional, expert, and courteous. They did a good job of dust containment and of cleaning up after themselves. It was abundantly evident that their goal was to delight their customers, and they indeed accomplished it."

"We tried the big box stores but discovered that their product was not as advertised and after searching found Champion Flooring. We discussed with Kurt our adventures and he directed us toward a product similar but higher quality for a better price. We then saw a really nice vinyl floor that goes in like tile from Armstrong with color pallet that would match the décor on the bathrooms so we added this to the order also. Our house is not too old but the previous owner did not take care of the floors with cuts and rips on the vinyl and stains on the carpet so we got to work and had it all changed. Kurt was great in helping us out and we got a better deal if we could wait till he had a large order so we did. We learned from experience that what looks good in the store may not fit your house so he gave us a large sample to take home and it looked good in the house with our lighting as well. So we got the order in and waited. The order got in and we started work on 21 July and finished on 23 July, it was a rather large project. The workers normally showed up around 10 am and would work till 7 pm. We removed all the vanities in the bathrooms so the flooring would go all the way to the wall for when and if we decide to change out the vanities, I suggest this to anyone else redoing a bathroom with plans later it will save you time and money. After each bathroom was finished we would install the vanities and plumbing ourselves. It seemed like days turned to weeks as we waited for the finished project jumping from room to room while they worked so prepare yourself if you tackle a lot of rooms as we did. The finished product looks amazing with a nice flow from the front door through the living room, dining room and kitchen with any transition strips. The first floor bath does not even have a transition strip since is was level another plus. The addition of the cement board in the 2nd floor bathrooms took out the squeaks in the floor and has a nice finish. I would recommend that if you have this kind of project get some plastic sheets to cover your furniture since it will get very dusty and close all doors to other rooms not being worked in to get the dust out. All in all it was an experience and we are happy it is over, the floors look great and we are satisfied with the end results. <br />"

"We have a 2 story home and had about 80% of the carpet removed and put hardwood flooring in. Only 2 rooms have carpet left. They were dependable, reliable, courteous and neat. They were very respectable of my family. I expected it to be very traumatic. Having your house tore up and living in it isn't always fun and I dreaded it but they did such a beautiful job. They did everything they could to ensure our comfort while they did the job. I would definately use them again. I wished I would have had all the carpet taken out. I let 2 people in the house talk me into keeping carpet in one bedroom and the family area upstairs."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Floresville, TX

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
