"Jason Dawson did an excellent job servicing my garage door and fixing the sensors today. He was punctual and professional. I called to ask for Jason again as he had installed a new garage door opener for us in 2014. It is still so quiet to this day. I and would recommend Precision Door Service to anyone."

"We had an old roof and had lost many shingles due to recent storms. The estimate was completed within 3-4 days of contacting the company. Once we submitted the signed contract, supplies were delivered within 3 days and work completed on the very next day. Everyone I dealt with, Bill, Theresa and the workmen, were very professional. The work crew did quality work and cleaned up the area afterwards. The final bill was exactly what the initial estimate was. Everything went smooth and professional from beginning to completion of the job. I would definitely recommend this company."

"Wow - Carlos was amazing! Punctual, fast, and extremely reasonable. We have had an issue with two large arched windows leaking. I had a handy man completely remove the exterior trim and re-caulk. That didn't solve the leaks. Other vendors recommended everything from water tests to full-out replacements. After last night's bad storm, we had a lot of leaking. Carlos came over within one hour of calling him, the very same day. When he arrived, he went up on a ladder and asked me to grab my ladder so he could show me the issue - the windows had either never been glued properly, or the glue had deteriorated in the hot Texas sun. Either way, the solution was applying glue to the *bottom* of the windows where they sit in the vinyl (not fixing the top which is what other folks always gravitated to.) So $95 later, problem solved. Thank you Carlos!"

"They did most of the windows and never did the doors. They said they would come back and finish the job but never have. We still need the other windows they missed and doors weather stripped."

"Recommend!! I originally contacted 360 Painting via email to ask for a price quote. With just the information I asked for in the email, I was contacted with a tentative price quote by the general manager, Matt. I also received a follow up email from the owner of the company to confirm I received the free estimate. I was greatly impressed with that alone. During the process of looking for painters, I received several price quotes from companies, one of which was extremely unprofessional. Once I decided to proceed with a company, I chose 360 based on their professionalism and very competitive price. I was contacted by phone to schedule an official estimate of work to be completed and set up the painting the following week. The estimate on price was right on. On the day of, I questioned whether they would remove the peephole/knocker (they were). I had purchased a new peephole/knocker online that was to replace the old one that was put on from my last door. When I got it, I saw that it was not going to fit because the peephole was larger than the existing one. I did not disclose this information previously because it was a last minute purchase and I didn't know if it would make it in time. They went above what was expected when they said they would be able to drill to accomodate the new peephole/knocker. Now that the work has been completed, I think the paint looks great and the attention to detail was amazing. Although this job was my main concern, I look forward to dealing with them in future paint projects. Highly Recommend."

FAQs for storm door installation projects in Floresville, TX

For mobile homes, look for a lightweight storm door designed specifically for manufactured housing. A slimmer frame eases installation and reduces added stress on the doorway, while removable glass or screen panels allow you to switch between airflow and complete protection in minutes. The result is solid weather defense without unnecessary weight and a door that remains easy to operate season after season.

A well-installed and well-maintained storm door can add modest value by improving curb appeal, increasing security, and reducing energy loss. If the door is faded, dented, or hanging loosely, those benefits disappear—and may even harm first impressions. Professional installation ensures the door seal is correctly aligned and keeps the hardware in place, allowing the upgrade to deliver both visual and practical benefits that buyers notice.

Most storm doors last 25 years, and high-end models, when properly cared for, can reach 50 years. Lifespan depends on the frame material, glass quality, and the amount of punishment the door receives from wind, rain, or sun. Regular cleaning, fresh weatherstripping, and prompt repairs keep hinges tight and glass secure, helping the door reach its maximum lifespan.

Allow three to five hours to set a standard pre-hung storm door if the opening is in good condition. If you need to widen the frame or repair wood rot, expect the job to take a whole day to complete. A seasoned installer can complete the job faster and ensure the door sits square, seals tightly, and operates smoothly, saving time that often outweighs the DIY time commitment.

Most single exterior doorways can accommodate a storm door, provided the frame dimensions match those of the new unit. Patio and sliding glass doors are the main exceptions because their tracks won’t support the extra door. If you’re unsure about clearances or hinge placement, consider bringing in a door installer to measure the opening and recommend any necessary adjustments for a secure fit.
