"Jeff arrived when he said he would and performed the work as promised. We didn't discuss disposal of the old carpet ahead of time and I didn't realize that I would have to do that, but as it wasn't too much carpet, it was not difficult to put it with other trash for pickup."

"We had a water leak and the carpet pad in our guest bedroom became saturated and needed to be replaced. <br /> Bob's brother came out to our house, removed pad, put down new pad, stretched carpet and taped the seams again. <br /> This was the 3rd time the carpet was repaired and they did a great job. It has saved us the cost of putting down new carpet. <br /> I would not hesitate to hire this company to repair my carpet or lay new carpet. Highly recommended. <br />"

"I was very happy with the results. Bev, the sales/design consultant was helpful on tile selection. She also did a good job of communicating and coordinating to get answers to all my questions. Edin and his installation team were very professional. He selected the perfect location to connect the heating floor wires to the electrical system and to place the thermostat (actual electrical connections were performed by an electrician that I employed separately). After a year of use, I am very happy with the heated floor for winter and the cool tiles for summertime. The floor upkeep is so much easier with porcelain tile, rather than carpeting. The project greatly improved the appearances of the master bath/closet area and the jack-and-jill bath."

"Overall, the salesman was courteous and responded quickly to our needs. The installation left something to be desired since a seam was visible in the most highly used area of the house. When we asked for help to improve this, they sent the installer back out promptly, but a month later the seam is just as visible as at first. <br />"

"Nate and Brandon were amazing! These two went above and beyond, extending my carpet's life by several years. They fixed what previous home owner did (super loose carpet due to poor install by previous owner)in the entire house and then cleaned the carpet. My house looks like it just got new carpet after a repair and clean! Will always do business here. True professional business, timely, kind and personal. As a military member, I am very impressed by the efficiency of this team! Thank you Nate and Brandon!"

"Excellent! Work completed professionally, on time, as promised. And they were $1K cheaper than their competitor, FloorCraft (also highly rated on AL), for the exact same materials. My mother loves her new floor, and I love the price! Plus, I learned a neat trick: when they disconnected all the cables from the TV prior to moving the entertainment center, they didn't label the wires--they just snapped a smartphone picture before they started disconnecting things. Presto--instant instructions on how to reconnect everything! I'll have to remember that."

"David is very professional and is very committed to making his customers happy with his work.  We bought the bamboo flooring from Lumber Liquidators and they recommended David for installation.  The installation went well and we are very happy with all aspects of David's work.  A few months after installation, gaps appeared between some of the boards (floating "click" boards - no nails).  We called David about this.  It appeared that the product began to shrink and a number of boards pulled away from their adjacent pieces or the baseboards.  <br /> <br /> This occurred even though the bamboo sat inside our house for over a month to become "acclimated" to our inside-the-house climate.  David went around and fixed a number of these gaps.  A gap in the hallway and one in the kitchen were fairly large (1/2 inch).  We weren't sure what to do with these so they were not fixed.  We waited another few months to see if more gaps appeared.  After this, we called David back again and he came back to install some thresholds and repair the big gaps we'd left unfixed previously.  This required him to take up about 15 feet of a hallway and the back door foyer area.  <br /> <br /> It took about 1/2 day for David and his assistant to make these repairs and he did this free of charge. I have no problem with David's installation or responsiveness when we called with problems.  It would appear that the bamboo "click" floating floor is the problem for this dry Colorado climate.  I believe this particular product should not even be sold in dry climates because bamboo grows in the tropics and contains a lot of moisture.  When the moisture leaves the boards, they shrink and "unclick" from each other causing gaps in the flooring (even after a long period of acclimatizing in the house).   <br /> <br /> David was great at the installation and at subsequent repair visits (which were not his fault).  He is friendly, shows up on time, cleans up each evening and did not charge us for work which I believe was not caused by him.  He pays particular attention to detail and I would highly recommend him for all your wood flooring needs."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Florissant, CO

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
