"Haim and his crew exceeded expectations, stayed within budget, and got the job finished fast. After a broken water heater flooded half our house, we needed new floors and the walls, which had been “flood cut” two-feet up all around had to be repaired, replastered and repainted. Haim was very helpful, explaining the process and various options. He gave me good advice on why things we could do to make improvements without braking the bank. I also really appreciated how he found a way to fix the problem that had led to the flooding in the first place - devising a way to add a drain pipe where there was no obvious exit. His whole crew was hard working, dependable and great at their jobs. There was one section of drywall that was really difficult to patch as it received a lot of natural light and was right under a bright ceiling light, which tends to expose even the smallest flaw. Haim’s drywall expert worked on it over and over until it wasn’t noticeable at all. All in all, they went above and beyond painting several additional walls and doors for me just to make sure it all came together perfectly. The cost was very reasonable, in line with other quotes I received and in some cases less. I highly recommend GH. Give ‘me a call!"

"This is the second kitchen I have had renovated using The Empire of Tile and Granite. I was referred to them by my mom who also used them for a kitchen reno. For this kitchen, we moved a cook top from the island to a wall and put in a recirculating vent hood. We took down a pantry wall. We moved some electrical. We had two sinks installed. We moved our washer dryer hookups. We had floors, cabinets, countertops replaced. The whole shebang. Carlos Castro is very helpful. He came to my house months before I was ready to begin work to give me some idea of cost for the various things I was considering, so I knew which cooktop and vent would work for my project. He brought me cabinet samples to my house (purchased on his own dime). The contract is very clear and reasonable. A+ all around, though I gave a B for price simply because, though it is fair, it won't be the lowest quote you receive, in my experience. His team is professional and very skilled and he has multiple 'foremen' who can help with project discussion, guidance, and issues on days when Carlos can't be onsite - though he makes an effort to be there every day during critical work and at least once a week otherwise. As with any project, keep track of changes. They do add up - but Carlos is very open and honest with those prices as things come up and often gave me ideas to reduce or maximize value for any additional costs."

"We worked with DFW Improved to completely gut, redesign and build our master bathroom and the experience can only be described as sensational! Having never tackled a project this big, we were cautious in deciding who we wanted to work with. However, it was clear from our first in-home meeting with Debra Fitzhugh that the team not only values quality, but also establishing genuine connection and trust with their clients. We had several meetings with Debra to discuss design options for our bathroom redesign. The original layout was extremely cramped, with two non-functional built-in closet rooms taking up the bulk of the already small space. We got the opportunity to brainstorm with Debra about possible solutions. Accounting for our wants and needs, she drew up three new layouts for us to review, clearly breaking down the price of each. By the time we made our design decisions, we were fully informed about the construction process, who we’d be working with, and price/schedule estimates. DFW Improved wants you to feel confident and impowered before making any decision. We next met with Sarah Davis in the showroom to select materials for our bathroom. We had a general idea of what we wanted, but it was Sarah’s mastery of color, texture, and design that helped us make creative and decisive decisions. Additionally, upon discovering that the tile we had chosen was on backorder, she coordinated with us and the vendor to get us new tile that still beautifully matched with our design schematic. As our project manager, we spent the most time with Shane Harvey, who exceeded expectations for us at every step. He was in constant communication with us and checked in on our project daily, most times in person. Whenever there was a new contractor in our house, he was there to introduce us to them, align them with our vision, and make sure everyone had what they needed to stay on schedule. If we had questions or concerns about what was happening with our reno, he would happily provide insight and solutions. We learned a lot about the construction process from our frequent conversations with him. It was clear throughout that Shane’s priority was getting our project done and quickly as possible without cutting any corners in terms of craftsmanship. Beyond the exceptional professionalism, the entire team put forth effort to get to know us personally. For example, Debra noticed that I didn’t have space to store my clothing during the reno and leant me her own clothing racks for me to use during the project. We truly consider each of them friends. Overall, I would recommend DFW Improved to anyone who wants a superior experience at every step in the process.
