"Steve Norfolk and his crew dug down to the footing and applied the waterproof material a section at a time.  The original plan was to dig the entire area first and then apply the waterproof material all at the same time.  However daily torrential rains turned the area into a sea of mud, so he decided to do it a section at a time to minimize problems associated with the rain.  He had to break up a concrete slab (porch) for 1/2 the front, and approximately 25 feet of driveway next to the house.  Progress was slow due to the rain and mud, but Steve steadfastly pursued the completion of the job despite the setbacks.  Although justifiably discouraged by the rain and lack of progress, he exhibited a positive "can do" attitude and kept at it.  The finished product was professionally done.  Backfill and all concrete were properly completed, and grass seed applied.  Steve is a conscientious professional who knows his business and can be relied upon to do the work he says he will accomplish.  I would use him again in a heartbeat.

"VRN Masonry repaired our patio, repaired the block supporting our garage wall, and poured concrete to fill in under our front porch. They responded quickly and meet our need to get the work done quickly. The quality of the work is very good. We are pleased with the work they did--it certainly met our needs. "They were remarkable. First, they excavated the minimum needed to repair our drain and install the CIPP liner. They saved our front cement and brick staircase (directly over the main house sewer line). They only removed one section of the sidewalk that was over the main house sewer line. When done, they filled and compacted the dirt, covered the lawn with straw (i.e., ready for me to add seed and to avoid erosion) and replaced the damaged sidewalk section. The workers were polite and respectful of both us and our property. There was truly minimal disruption to the household. We could not flush toilets or run water down the drains for about 3 hours each day they worked on the line. We contracted for repair of the pipe that was on our property. They completed this work in two days. We then added re-lining the pipe under the road to the county connection. The team added people for and worked late on the second day. Job done on day 3. The job took 3 days (as promised)."

"Working with Mike (the owner), Jose (the lead craftsman) and Angel (his skilled assistant) was an absolute pleasure.  Mike is a very knowledgeable and nice person.  He responded well to all of our questions and concerns, and educated us about the intricacies of stone work.  He made sure that we understood precisely what to expect on this project.  Jose is an exceptional artist.  He has a great eye for setting stone and for details that make a difference.  For example, he shaped the end of the walkway as it met the stoop in a way that makes it quite aesthetically pleasing.  Moreover, we had not even thought of this or asked for it.  Both Jose and Angel did exceptional work in selecting and arranging both the flagstone (pavers) and the fieldstone (which went on the risers.  The result in front and on the side is exceptional.  The side was a half moon, and Jose and Angel cut and arranged the stone perfectly.  Moreover, both of these highly skilled men were very pleasant to work with.  They always showed up promptly and cleaned up very carefully every day.  We were thoroughly impressed with their total professionalism, and would use them again in any future projects. Mike clearly takes pride in his company's work.  He stopped by to make sure that we were happy with the finished project.  Not only did we tell him that this was a very positive experience with Maxsell, but told him that we would definitely call him for any future stone work."

"RMD Landscaping arrived as scheduled and worked diligently until the job was completed. During the process, Raymundo showed me the water sitting in the underlying concrete so there was no question about the source of the problem: Specifically, RDM performed the following: (a) filled in the cider blocks with concrete; (b) re-surfaced the walls (c) added vents for water release at the bottom of the walkout basement door; and replaced the old brick trim with new bricks.
