"In 2022, we decided to add a new kitchen and substantially remodel our mid-1960s Edmonds rambler. After reading many on-line reviews and meeting with several contractors we decided to go with Johnson and Sons.....and we are so very happy that we did. From the very start we were impressed with how open, honest and responsive Vic Johnson was, a trend that continued throughout our project. As you might imagine, a significant remodel and addition to a 60-year old home is likely to bring with it surprises and our remodel was no exception. Despite the many challenges encountered, Johnson and Son and their subcontractors readily overcame them. Among the many lessons we learned during our remodel was the value of quality subcontractors. Vic's relationship with his subs in some cases extend more than a decade and the depth of these relationships was reflected by the quality and timeliness of their work. "I recently had Renovate do a significant remodel of a 50 year old duplex. They built me 2 brand new bathrooms, a new kitchen, an interior wall, and they also strengthened my deck. They impressed me every step of the way with their professionalism, craftsmanship, and problem-solving. I highly recommend them for any project you’re considering; as far as I’m concerned I’ve found a contractor for life. If you’d like more detail, I’ve included some of the highlights of my experience below Professionalism: Amanda reached out to me promptly and sent a foreman to the house within a couple days. She followed up with a detailed, reasonable estimate for the work (and when I say detailed, I mean detailed). The crew was on-site every single day until the work was done. I paid exactly what we discussed on the estimate, except for the surprises (more on that later) Craftsmanship: I was really impressed by the attention to detail in their work. They moved the plumbing in the bathroom to the exact requirements and changed the supporting valves and fixtures I’d missed without asking. The tiles in my shower were laid beautifully, straight, and level, and they replaced a chipped one (instead of just grouting over it). Problem-solving: It’s a old house in the Northwest, so naturally we found water damage in one of the bathroom, from a 50-year old window. It had rotted part of the outer wall and even some structural beams. I was ready to have a heart attack, but they nonchalantly made it good as new, window and all. They charged me time and materials, and their rates are very fair for the top quality work they do. I also managed to mismeasure the kitchen layout somehow, and they heroically moved a beam 4 inches to accommodate the cabinets. That was my mistake and I deserved to pay for it. I’m just glad I had an honest contractor."

"Excellently, we initially explained to Vic what it was we wanted to do and he was very receptive to what we wanted Without trying to “take over” and do what was easiest for him. Vic was also very reassuring that what we wanted to do was doable. My wife and I were amazed at what Vic was able to do with rerouting some heating vents and plumbing to hook up our new appliances. Vic was also very knowledgeable in dealing with electrical contractors saving us from being overcharged and avoiding unnecessary work and products. "A timely and efficiency job has been done. Near Me Roofing Company has good knowledge about roof, brought quite a few samples along with him and explained throughfully. After the explaination it is much easier to know what you need. The job took one day. The crew cleaned up pretty nicely and even cleaned my neighbor's driveway.
