Though our new floor is engineered hardwood, we were very insistent on a feel for real hardwood. Our floor was laid over 18" cement tiles and they knew how to first make that tile surface very flat with a product before using a thick underlayment. The cutting and glueing of all the planks was very carefully done and the new floor looks, sounds and feels beautiful. They did a good job keeping things clean in the process and didn't leave a mess. After it was completed, Matt (the owner) came to check on everything and make sure we were satisfied. Photos include a faux beam I asked them to make with extra planks.
