"We were very satisfied with the services they provided. A lady named Christy who works there is just family as to needy. She has an extra counter there, and you're not walking around being bombarded with questions about how much you're going to buy, when you're going to do it and so on. She's very helpful, you can tell her your floor measurements, and she'll tell you exactly how much it's going to cost right off the top of her head. She puts you out of the door and going as quick as she can. The store is quite large, and they have a wide choice of carpeting and things there."

"Awesome experience. Lance helped us, without being pushy AT ALL, to find the right carpet and pad. He made recommendations and was fair and honest in doing so. When it came time to finalize price, Lance worked with me to get where we needed it to be. The installers, who work specifically for CD's, which I think is important, were also fantastic. They did run late, but they communicated very well and worked late and over the weekend to get it done. You can't see any seams, and the quality of the job was fantastic. Very professional and courteous. Can't recommend highly enough."

"This was an issue from the start. Their website has no prices so when we scheduled my daughter was told that extra vents are $20 and turns out they are $25. The original appointment was for Saturday 7/26 between 12-6. She received a call saying that they were backed up so it would be about 3pm for them to come out. They finally came out and then the equipment messed up. They scheduled for Monday Morning and promised a discount. She received a Voicemail on Monday around 12 asking for her to call the technician and he would be there around 3pm. When she called him back he answered the phone and quot;Yeahand quot;. She then told him she was returning his call and his response was and quot;Uh-huh.and quot; She had to ask if she had the Blackmon Mooring Company and he said and quot;Yeah, I called.and quot; Nothing further so here she is at work playing cat and mouse trying to return this man's call. She said someone will be at the house when they get there. The called again about 3pm stating they were on their way from their last job and would be there in about 30 minutes. The did not show up until close to 5pm. Then the guy called again to tell her that he would add in a unit servicing (but charge for it) and add in the discount. She declined and asked them to perform a different service since she was having the A/C unit cleaned and tuned up the next day. He tried to talk her and her husband into completing the service he was charging them for (which was not even requested originally). So instead of just completing the services requested and giving a discount they were trying to add in a service then give a discount. She finally had them complete a different service (dryer vent cleaning) but was still unhappy with the pushy tactics, the unprofessionalism on the phone, and the lack of punctuality of the people. <br />"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Fort Smith, AR

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
