"Excellent work from start to finish. My father was a mason, so I know great work when I see it. First, they brought in a tear-down team to remove the chimney down to the first-floor roof level of our two-story house. After which, they rebuilt the chimney to original height installing approximately 900 new bricks using a new Type N mortar. They installed a new 5" thick concrete crown with a 2" drip edge and an expansion joint. They replaced all accessible sections of fireplace clay flue tile extending 4" - 6" above the concrete crown. Installed new stainless steel chimney cap. Installed 2 sets of new step and counter flashing. Installed 2 sets of new ice water shields and shingles as needed. Cleaned and weather sealed chimney entirely upon completion. After the chimney rebuild was done, the Mason, Seth, and his crew cleaned the work site, to include the whole driveway. They are a very efficient and thorough team. I understand that they like to leave the customer's house and yard as clean or better than they find it."

"The brochure say's that the owner or son will be on site to see the job through, that's far from the truth. After the son visit to secure the deal, make promises or elude to promises, don't expect to get a return phone call even to follow up. The job started with leaving roof items in the back driveway in clear vision of the street with my gate left open. I had to secure the loose walk away items in my garage to avoid someone from getting ideas. I was not staying t the house at the time, luckily I stopped by to check. When they arrived they did not even take an inventory to see if anything was missing until I pointed it out. They were messy with tearing of the roof and I had to remind them to clean my entrance and neighbors yard. I brought up the fact to the main contact go between (which is the secretary) after contract is sign that the crew was urinating in my back yard after I told them they could use the bathroom.There was supervision of the crew on the first day but nothing for the next day. I was billed over 1K for rotted wood replacement and I was told they would be pictures for proof but I was never was shown any. After the job was done, then came the review of the work and "where my check". A discrepancy was noted on the flashing but I was told they fixed it but never witness nor knew when they came. I got a phone call to see they did it and the secretary came to get the check. I still see one or two pieces of strip of plastic and green nails from the job on my 3K over budget roof from the Angie's offer. The price is no bargain compare to better professionalism all around from other companies from previous quotes obtained. This is a matter of you get what you pay for and being stuck after a $5,800 down payment."

"Someone came out to check our interior and exterior walls. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He said there were no major leaks in the mortar that were visible and the leaks were most likely coming from behind the gutter. He explained that the gutter would need to be removed, meaning I would need to hire a roofer since they do not deal with gutters or roofing and that I would end up paying for two jobs. He suggested instead that I find a roofer that would remove the gutter who was skilled enough to do the necessary tuckpointing to save us money. He also looked at the interior damage and told us the materials to buy because we said we wanted to repair that ourselves. He was extremely helpful and gave us the most economical suggestions rather than booking repairs with them and hiring a roofer. If we need work done to our masonry or foundation only in the future, I will definitely go with Hicon."

"Phenomenal!! Greg is awesome! He is reliable, prompt, affordable, and does excellent work. My wife and I just purchased our first home and we had a chimney leak, bricks needing repairing, etc... Greg was cognizant of how cost sensitive we were and Instead of coming up with a laundry list of things to get fixed , he was more of an advisor and worked with me to come up with the best solution for us and our situation. Greg is extremely experienced and knowledgeable, he explained the ins and outs of the issues I was having, why I was having them, and what I could do to mitigate them moving forward. "In general did a good job.  Showed up on time and got started promptly.  Cleaned up well after themselves.  Fast and efficient.  Only negatives were one small window & storm that was overlooked.  They also had a problem with one of our curtain rods that required some DIY repair on my part.  Not clear whether it was actually a rod failure or if a part was broken due to inexperience on worker's part, but am willing to give them benefit of the doubt since the rest of the job/experience went well.
Price seemed pretty competitive and they squeezed me into their schedule just prior to Thanksgiving holiday..  Would hire again.
