They weren’t our cheapest option but their unique cost-plus process of contracting, clear & transparent labor rates and discounts saved us thousands on our projects. We have never seen a company operate in this manner, but it just made complete sense to us, and it works extremely well. Along the way we were a bit indecisive and made a few changes which added work to the original scope, increased our budget and timeline, however Douglas immediately shifted into another gear and was able to incorporate our changes within the original design. He is extremely honest, trustworthy and knowledgeable of his trade. His communication skills and integrity were second to none. I don’t know how he handles all the stress, but he makes it look easy. All team members and subcontractors were respectful of us and our home and a pleasure to work with as well. "We had new countertops and a sink installed in April 2024 through Costco, with MKD handling the installation. We paid over $6,500 for the job. Just 14 months later, we walked into our kitchen to find the sink had completely fallen?due to failed adhesive and the fact that MKD never used the mounting clips that came with the sink. I contacted MKD and sent photos as requested. Days went by with no response. When I followed up, they admitted they had ?overlooked? the photos and promised to call back that afternoon. They never did. After another follow-up, they informed me the installation was only covered under a one-year warranty and that I would need to pay a $500 service fee just to have the sink reattached. Our sink is now literally being held up by 2x4s. This issue could have been avoided with proper installation and could easily be resolved with a quick visit but MKD refuses to take responsibility.
