"First, I want to say that the job I asked Mr. Sandless Indianapolis to do, was a terrible job. It's a 100 year old restoration with hardwood that had carpet glued down on top of it for many years. They did an amazing job. Stacey was very quick to get an accurate estimate and to get technicians out to the house and started within a week. Everyone I interacted with was courteous and very professional. I asked a number of questions, all of which were answered in a complete and timely fashion. I would gladly recommend to anyone who had hardwood refinishing needs. Thanks!"

"Wallace construction came to my door after seeing shingles missing on my roof. Unlike the fly by night contractors that typically do this approach, Denise was very friendly, had a logo shirt and truck and was very professional. They helped us with our insurance adjuster to pay for a good portion of the new roof when I didn't even realize it was a possibility. They offered great communication which to me is key. Everything was accomplished in a timely and professional manner. Our new roof looks great and definitely improved our curb appeal. Will use for future projects, and I even have a few in mind."

"Let me tell you about the experience we had with Moore Restoration. NOT SO GOOD! Although it has been 4 years ago we thought we would write a review anyway. Some things you never get over. The workers themselves that did the actual physical work were VERY NICE! They did attic squirrel clean up, and mold, and Very expensive . $20,000 out of our pocket because the insurance company does not pay for this kind of work. The Management foreman over the team, from the owner, to the project manager, and other clerical people we talked to in the office were VERY RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, AND MEAN! Let me start out by asking How many of you out there would not be angry and unhappy if Moore Restoration quit in the middle of finishing everything that was in the contract that you signed, and left to go start another project elsewhere because they could make more money? that is exactly what happened to us here in Anderson, Indiana. Yes, this is not only a restoration company, but also an emergency service, SO BEWARE! The project manager said they had an emergency at a church one week. The next week they went to Cincinnati because of tornadoes. We waited naively thinking they would call and give us some idea where we would be on the list to finish. We realized after two weeks that probably not going to happen .How long was there emergency going to last? All SUMMER! And get this, we are in the middle of trying to put our house on the market but could not get a sign in the yard till they finished the job. The job had an extra add on in the contract to fix something on the roof due to squirrel damage and bad ventilation. This was becoming an undue hardship for us, and we did not even get an apology. Add that to the fact Project Manager could decide on his own discretion if the job could be completed because I, (Mrs.Simpson) became angry and upset the day they finally came out to pick up their equipment they had left behind from two weeks before. The Project Manager would not try to be flexible, and give me a date to be completed. He said I was unrealistic. I even called his boss before he came and it did not help either. He then used the excuse that he was afraid to return and have the job finished. My guess is that he has been through this before with some other customers before after reading some of the complaints on internet and did not really want to finish the job anyway. EXCUSES! EXCUSES! EXCUSES! IN conclusion, believe me, this company in response to this review if they dare, will not only me, but anyone else who becomes upset and unhappy, will make the customer sound as bad as they can to defend themselves. The owner never returned our messages, so I guess he was okay with how it was handled. Yes, the contract may say things can change with the weather, but we never thought we would be left in a mess because of it. Now the excuse is me the customer. I had a great attitude until they decided to pull a fast one on us. In the end for us, they only cared about the BIG COMPANY MONEY! Their emergencies come first before the LITTLE GUY! They had to have the money up front to even get started. Then when they had our money, and we signed the contract they can do anything they want. We would not recommend this company for restoration. Emergencies come first for them. Keep that in mind! BEWARE! Cindy and Alan Simpson, Anderson, Indiana. June 26, 2019"

"I rarely feel the need to write a review or blast anyone on social media. I have written a review maybe twice in my life. That being said, I read reviews for almost every purchase I consider. I know reviews can pull a lot of weight and I value them, good or bad. This is a long one but one you will want to read if you are considering using this business. My husband and I ended up visiting Vision Floors and more in Lafayette, IN, after [Company information redacted] failed to show up to our scheduled in home consultation. I had never heard of vision floors but was pleasantly surprised by our visit to the store. Sarah was very helpful and patient with us as we scoured their flooring until we found one we loved. Financing was simple and fast as well. We had our home measured, got the floors ordered, and scheduled an installation date. November 19th. Bobby was our installers name I believe. He and another guy removed all our old carpet and prepped most the floors for the new vinyl flooring in one day. They would have finished installation the following day except they ran out of flooring. Yep. Nearly 1200 sq ft of flooring and they came up 3 boards short. Guess how long our floor sat unfinished? Almost 3 months. Read on. Ok mistakes happen. No biggie. We just have to order more flooring and they’ll come finish it. We very patiently wait to hear something and when we didn’t I then sent a text to Sarah November 24th but got no response. It’s coming up on thanksgiving so we cut them some slack. We had other projects we were working on anyway. Wait yet another week, still not a peep. Sent another text December 1st. Finally get a response the boards arrived they will be out in 2 days. Great. The next day got a text all the boards are damaged and have to order more. They blamed UPS. Ok **** happens just have to wait for another shipment. *Crickets* Ask for an update December 11th. They’ll be out on the 16th. Great. December 16th installed the wrong floor. Yes, the wrong floor. Our planks had black beveling and the 3 they installed did not. Also the coloring was slightly different but noticeable. So now we have mismatched flooring running down our hallway. Cool. Why they even installed this floor is beyond me. I’m convinced they thought we wouldn’t notice and would get away with it; they claim it was a manufacturer defect. Either way the floor should have been inspected more closely before installation and the so-called experienced installers should have stopped what they were doing. But they went ahead and installed it anyway as well as the trim and the transition and caulked along the stonework as if nothing was wrong. I sent pictures of the floor showing the mistake. No response. Husband calls the next day and leaves a message. No response. 3 weeks of unanswered texts and calls. Husband finally drives 45 minutes to the store on a Saturday to talk face to face. Was told they are still trying to get useable boards. THEN COMMUNICATE THAT TO US.!! The silence is what kills us. How can something like this happen and you don’t inform your customer as to every step you are taking to rectify the situation? Why do we have to ask for updates as to what the **** is going on over and over again for weeks? We are very frustrated at this point to say the least. January 7th asked for update. Nothing. January 16th asked for update. Nothing. Finally January 21st, we get a text. They have the floor, when can they come out. We gave them our availability. We both work 6 days a week and getting days off is not easy so they need to be flexible and work with our schedule. Simple request right? Nope. Another week of silence. January 29th asked for an update and get a response of Monday Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. Well Monday Tuesday and Wednesday came and went and not a peep. Friday asked for an update. Nothing. I informed them on February 6th that I had February 11th off so I asked them to make it work. They did. They sent someone out and I’m relieved it’s finally finished. But that’s not all... While the guy, I believe his name was Jeremy, was here doing us this huge favor of fixing their **** up, he took a phone call and was telling whoever he was talking to about the job he was at. How he had to fix a mistake he didn’t make and that the mistake was “barely even noticeable.” That it was “just missing a black line” (the beveling) and that “you really had to look hard to notice it.” I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. Are you kidding me? First, you don’t talk like that in front of the customer. Super unprofessional. And second, we paid a ****load of money for our floors and even if you don’t think it’s noticeable we notice it and have to look at it every day. It was done incorrectly and most definitely needed to be fixed and I don’t need to hear you complain about it. Just do your job. I will tell my story to anyone that will listen to me. I have already told my family, friends, and coworkers not to do business with vision floors if they are ever in the market for new flooring. My experience with this business warrants a bad review. They should be called out publicly for their bad business practices and horrible customer service. I understand people make mistakes and had this company made any effort to keep us informed, or at the very least show a little remorse or act a tad apologetic, I wouldn’t feel the need to shame them. The lack of communication has been unreal. I hope no one else has to go through this."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Frankfort, IN

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
