"Wayne and his crew did a great job. I had multiple quotes from various companies. I had him come out a second time to firm up the bid and clarify my expectations. He did the anticipated repairs and upgrades to improve roof drainage in problem areas. I needed to replace some damaged fascia boards and his crew worked around my need to access areas of my home during their work. They were diligent and cleaned up every night before they left. All in all they did a great job and listened to any concerns I had during the project. If I need any other roofing done on auxiliary structures I plan to give him a call. The only reason I gave him a B on punctuality is the job started a few days late due to weather and holidays. He did keep me informed however on the revised start date. I could set my alarm on when they showed up every day during the project."

"I hired them to re-roof my home and in conversation I mentioned I need to have my asphalt driveway sealed, not even knowing they do this work too. They asked me if they could bid on the driveway project too. This all happened in a short timeframe and I was very impressed by their timeliness and quality of work. The owner came and inspected the roof after completion and asked me to look at it with him. We climbed up the ladder and he explained everything and answered my questions. I was thoroughly impressed and want to hire them again for additional work this summer."

"I REALLY liked the salesperson that we bought it from. HE was excellent. When there was a glitch with our siding order, he came back out to check things out. HOWEVER, the guy who put up our siding was not real particular. He cut off our gutters when they were to be removed and re-hung. I AM pleased that the company replaced them without any hassle. The siding was over hanging the gables. It wasn't until we said something that he fixed it. That was the overall problem. Unless we caught a problem, it would have remained. While it might be our house itself, the siding installment is not what I'd consider "A". I don't think that I should be the one pointing out mistakes and getting them fixed. I think that they should have just been fixed. I'm glad that the guy was nice. But the end result was not installed like we had pictured."

FAQs for asphalt shingle roofing repair projects in Frankfort, MI

Asphalt shingles last 15 to 30 years, although premium products can reach the 50-year mark. The actual lifespan hinges on climate, material quality, proper installation, ventilation, and consistent maintenance. Scheduling annual inspections, replacing damaged shingles promptly, and keeping gutters clear all extend service life and help your roof protect the rest of the house.

Repairing your asphalt shingles preserves the integrity of your roof by addressing minor, localized damage. In cases where damage is confined, applying roofing sealant beneath and over the affected area restores performance and prevents further issues. Maintaining these repairs upholds durability and forestalls deterioration. When damage is extensive or persistent, full roof replacement becomes necessary. A professional inspection confirms the ideal course of action.

Replacing individual shingles is a valid solution when only isolated sections of the roof are damaged. Asphalt shingles, as well as wooden shakes, slate, or clay roofing tiles, are engineered for individual replacement, which can be achieved by applying roofing sealant beneath and over the damaged section to restore functionality. When damage extends over a larger area or many shingles are compromised, complete roof replacement becomes necessary. A professional roofer will assess the situation and confirm the optimal repair method.
