"I had them put in new Karndean flooring but it keeps pulling away from the slab. Installer keeps saying it is the fault of the slab but my issue is why did they install it in the first place if it was not an appropriate application for my house. <br />"

"We visited their showroom and asked for prices on about 3 different hardwood floor products. They were very helpful in answering all of our questions.  <br /> After looking at the quotes for having the flooring installed, we decided to save some money by purchasing the products from them and doing the installation by ourselves.  It was a LOT of hard work!  We went back to Breegle with questions about 2 times & they were very courteous in answering all of our questions & offering suggestions for the parts of the job we had difficulties with.  We took much longer to install our floor than they would have taken.  We have been VERY HAPPY with the product we purchased from them, and pleased when we finished installing our new floor.  BUT, if we have another room done...we would have them install it.  <br /> Although we saved money by doing the install ourselves, it would be worthwhile to pay them to do the install next time! <br />"

"From the initial contact with Nichole and Billie we could tell these folks are genuine honest and reliable business people.  They took the time to show us a variety of carpet samples and after we had selected the carpet we wished to install, they established a time table that met our needs to have it installed.  They sub contracted the installation to Danny Stephenson, who has had over 30 years of installation experience.  Danny and his assistant removed the old carpet and installed the new carpet carefully and quickly as we had furniture to be delievered the next day.  If you live in the Fredericksburg, TX area, I would highly recommend the Mollerings for your flooring needs.  They are a top rated business in our books and will continue to recommend them to our friends and neighbors.  They also sell tile and can arrange for kitchen countertops. <br />"

"After shopping several different places, we chose this company because after speaking with our salesperson, we were confident we would be completely satisfied.  The salesperson, Judy, was very professional, discussed in detail what we should expect, was very patient answering our questions. From decision time to finish she was part of the action so that we only had to speak with one person. She suggested and discussed everything from carpet type, weight, and the pad. <br /> The installers arrived on time, were very courteous, answered all my questions regarding moving the furniture . If I had a preference for doing things, they were happy to do as I wished. We are older and like things simple. <br /> The balance of my flooring is ceramic tile so no more carpet is in my future, but I highly recommend Johnny Brinks to everyone who needs flooring and wants a good experience when contracting for such. <br />"

"I was very pleased with their work.  I believe that the insurance company paid $2500 or $2600.  On price, I think it was pretty good. I very rarely give somebody an A so a B is pretty darn good. I did have to call to have them come back because when  they pulled out the oven to check under it for the water, the plug came out and they did not replace the plug. So that was just one little thing but they came back and they plugged it back in. When they left I had to push the refrigerator back to the wall because it was left out where they put it.  If they had done that, I think I would have given them an A."

"They met with me as scheduled, brought samples for me to choose from and completed the installation on a very tight time frame. The only reason I gave the quality a B rating is because I chose a lesser quality product as this was for a rental property. He did offer me a higher quality product but I declined. They cleaned up the area after installation, were friendly and professional. Emailed the invoice to me to be paid online, very convenient. <br />"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Fredericksburg, TX

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
