"This company is so courteous, honest, responsive and the work is perfect. Replaced all pipes in the house with PEX, replaced outside faucets, installed new water heater. Left no mess, and any cutting into the wall was made in a very inconspicuous manner, left covered by small plastic plates. The staff are very helpful and respond very quickly. "This past weekend, my third floor toilet/sinks were backing up due to a lost plumbing snake. I called SmartChoice and spoke with Carlos this past Sunday. He came out Sunday night and looked at the situation. He returned Monday with Travis and tried to get the snake out but couldn't (He removed the toiled, put in a camera and tried taking it out that way). He finally returned this morning (with Travis) and finished the job. He cut into the wall into our garage and pulled it out. I really appreciated the fact that Carlos tried multiple ways to get the snake out before cutting into the wall. He did not immediately pick the most expensive option.
During all 3 visits, Carlos (and Travis) were very professional. They were on time, very detailed with their explanation on what needed to be come. "Fast, professional and the owner will address any issues. Re-piped my home and replaced a water heater. There were some small issues that were quickly fixed and an issue with damaged siding. The owner is making this right."

"I had already taken the trap off of the piping under the sink and cleaned it out, that didn't fix the clog. Since I realized the clog was somewhere in the pipes behind the wall, I knew I needed professional help. On a Friday morning, I called several places... some of which told me they couldn't get to me until the following Tuesday, others put me on hold when I called, and most were just generally unhelpful which made me decide not to use them. I saw JR Plumbing had an A rating on Angies so I thought I'd give them a try. The owner answered the phone immediately and was able to answer questions and was able to fit me into his schedule within less than 24 hrs. When he arrived he put covers on his shoes and (with no prompting from me) was respectful of my wood floors and carried his necessary equipment instead of rolling it through my house. He was professional, polite and very reasonably priced. If I have plumbing issues in the future, I will definitely give JR Plumbing a call again."

"Jose brought a team and they began working on replacing the smoke detectors, replacing the diverter and tub stopper - which turned into a trial as the diverter was an old piece and he had to go all over town to find a replacement. He installed electrical GFCI outlets in the kitchen, two baths, one in garage and one outside - and went above and beyond by replacing the receptacle housings as well. He also found a leak behind the tub and repaired it after asking permission. the cost was very reasonable and it would have cost me three times as much with a plumber. I would use Jose again and have recommended him to my realtor and other friends. Great job!"

"Rob and his crew installed a root barrier to protect the back of our house from foundation problems from a large oak tree.  They also added catch basins to existing drainage pipes as well as replacing some piping where needed.  Rob spent a generous amount of time taking a good look at our property, assessing what would work best and answering all of my questions. I was very pleased with the work done and with the people he has on his crew.

"Bassam used high-quality subcontractors to reconstruct the wall and to repair a leaky chimney cap, and his own workers for the interior wall repairs and flooring. He arranged for advantageous financing. He worked closely with my home insurance inspectors and the resulting report enabled me to obtain partial insurance coverage for the repairs (my lawyer friends had thought it unlikely that I would be able to obtain any insurance coverage at all). Bassam also obtained a permit from the city and worked closely with city inspectors. This involved hours of waiting for an inspector from the city’s understaffed inspection department. There were five visits altogether. Bassam would wait outside my home in his truck until the inspector arrived, not knowing the exact time or even the day of arrival. To further complicate matters, the wall being repaired was on a zero-lot line property, meaning that we needed the permission of my highly skeptical neighbor to obtain access to her yard to do the repairs on my house. I estimate that meeting the neighbor’s requirements delayed completion of the work by an additional two months. The job took on a high degree of urgency as the heavy rains of spring set in. As it turned out, the exterior wall repairs were completed two days before the Tax Day storm of 2016. After that, the interior repairs went smoothly. Bassam assisted me with the choice of suitable paint colors for my living room and guest bedroom. Floor It Today is a small family company, and Bassam described this job as unusually delicate. There were several points on which the company could improve. Typed contracts would be an advance over handwritten ones, I felt some pressure when I was persuaded to switch from luxury vinyl to wood-look porcelain, and the additional repairs as well as the change in flooring material increased my monthly installment payments in a way that I did not fully understand (they went back down to the original amount after the additional charges were paid off). The final result, however, is stunning. My new floor has won high praise from my visitors and I find I prefer the natural material to vinyl. In addition, the porcelain floor is highly durable and will not be damaged even if water enters again. Bassam and his workers were always reliable and courteous, despite the frustrations involved. I saw, too, that Bassam was careful and considerate in his treatment of his employees. He was humane toward the pets who were affected by this work and respectful of their owners’ feelings. I appreciated his patience and persistence in a job that became far more complex and demanding than anyone had anticipated. In the end, Floor It Today and Bassam Mirza came through with flying colors."
