"Things seem to be going fine during installation until the work began in the kitchen. The installers moved the refrigerator to do the flooring. Upon doing this, the installer broke/damaged the water line running from the refrigerator to the water valve in the wall. Totally unaware of this damage, the installer applied a thick silicone around the entire area where the valve was broken (I'm assuming to hide what he had done) and then he put a pair of pliers on the line to clamp it and cut off water flow. My mother's refrigerator was left pulled out with this clamp and silicone applied and told they would come back out to fix this. The installers NEVER showed. My mother called to inform Floors for Living what had happened. She was told someone would be sent out to look at it. No one ever showed. My mother tried to contact Floors for Living again and reached a stone wall. No one will take her calls. She is leaving messages and no one will return her calls. It's been over a month now and still no contact from Floors for Living. I am very disappointed with the lack of professionalism displayed. I feel my mother was taken advantage of as an elderly and with her having paid for the services in full, they have her money and are gone. She has been left with the responsibility of replacing her refrigerator (a KithchenAid side-by-side) out of her own pocket, and to date, no one has still reached back out to my mother regarding the damage or restitution regarding the damages. Now that my mother has purchased a new refrigerator (that she had to pay for) we are still having issues. The appliance installer could not get the refrigerator leveled to go back in it original location. We pulled out a leveler to only find that the entire section of that floor is warped and leaning. Floors for Living DID NOT level the floor before installation. Now we are having to rig the refrigerator installation by putting a board under it to get it to sit level in that space on the floor. Just awful and another reminder of the poor quality of work Floors for Living did for my mother at her home. She's now out of $3700 for the floor/carpet installation plus $200 she spent to get an appliance company to come out and diagnose how and what was broken on the refrigerator and then another $1800 she had to spend to replace the refrigerator that was damaged."
