"I called to make an appointment for an estimate and the gentleman came out to my house the same day! We scheduled for a couple days later and he arrived right on time! He pressure washed my driveway, sidewalks, back patio and side of house. The gentleman (Gearold) was very polite and professional and answered all of my questions. "My house was too hot in summer and too cold in winter. After considering various options I decided that the best course of action was to replace our aging aluminium single pane windows. I wanted to go with vinyl replacement windows, which are a more affordable option than the alternatives. After going through a few product offerings and quotes from different providers, I selected replacement window installation by Guardian Windows. I really liked their Earthwise 143 window series manufactured by Showcase Windows & Doors, a Houston-based manufacturer. Following a regional manufacturing philosophy, Earthwise windows are specifically built for the weather in the Gulf Coast region. The Earthwise product sample was significantly heavier, sturdier, and more robustly solid than those of competitors. I also took into account the fact that sample windows tend to be much much smaller (and thus appear to be sturdier) than an actual window. A lot more vinyl goes into the construction of an Earthwise window, compared to competitors in the same price range. While vinyl is an extremely long-lasting material, it is not immune to the effects of the Texas sun. The more vinyl there is in each window, the better. From my research I knew that even the most expensive window is only as good as the quality of its installation. Guardian Windows use their own installers and do not subcontract the work. I knew that the windows would take some time to manufacture to order. I signed the contract with Marty Scarpati, the proprietor, on 31 Jan, with a down payment of $5,400. The new windows arrived after 9 weeks. A crew of two men and a helper arrived in the morning on the date and time scheduled for installation. Joe Harris and Zach (the installers) were very thorough and professional in their work. Installation took three full days. They were very careful to remove every shard of broken glass and old window material before leaving at the end of each day. Two front door sidelites had been manufactured to the wrong size and needed to be reordered. Also, some of the bug screens were either the wrong size or not ready. I agreed to withhold $1,000 and pay the balance. The two remaining sidelites arrived 8 weeks later and were promptly installed by Joe Harris and Zach. I paid the final balance of $1,000. The last bug screens arrived in two lots a few days later. The first lot was delivered and installed by Showcase (the window manufacturer). I am told the bug screens are made by another manufacturer (makes sense). The final lot of three bug screens was left outside my front door but I was able to easily install them. Though there were some hiccups in length of time from initial order to complete final installation, I am not complaining. I am very happy with my new vinyl replacement windows. I have noticed a significant improvement in the inside air comfort due, I believe, to the superior insulation provided by the new windows. The A/C is able to maintain cool temperatures much more effectively and completely gone is the draft of convection hot/cold air that I used to be able to feel from my old windows. They glide open and close effortlessly and also look beautiful!"

As for the people who want to arrange your install. I recieved a voice mail while grocery shopping from the installation scheduler. Listening to the VM and finding out who it was, I called back and was greeted by a man whom I found to be very short, rude, talking over me, talking AT me, and insisted I called "Them" in the morning to find out what time they were to be there to install instead of them calling me ( the customer ), letting me know a window as to what time they would arrive. I then told him ... well that's not customer service then now is it. He then said that they don't call. That's not something they do. (What?)
So, needless to say, it doesn't do any good to call and speak to a manager or owner Jim supposedly, or report to the office. They could care less if a customer had been treated unprofessionally by an employee, ( "gosh, I didn't hear anyone of my employees raise their voice....") , like surely, surely lady you must be mistaken....gosh my guys couldn't possibly be the royal "jerk" you are describing because I didn't hear anyone raise their voice....OMGosh... really? So in your eyes Mr. LLC someone must be raising their voice to be a jerk? Must be nice to have so much business that you just don't care how the hades your employees behave.

"Roof Services recently put a new roof on my house. It looks amazing and I am so very pleased! The job was completed in one day. From the start to the finish of this job, all the workers were very professional, worked hard, and it was apparent that they took pride in their workmanship. Justin, the supervisor on the job, was absolutely wonderful and patient with me as he thoroughly answered all of my questions. The workers did a great job of cleaning up after the roof was completed. They did not leave one piece of trash, shingle cuttings or nails in my driveway or yard. If you need a new roof, I highly recommend that you call Michael, owner of Roof Services. He is very honest and dependable and uses high quality materials which was very important to me. You will be very pleased just as I was."

"First let me state, work was done when we (My area) had just had some severe weather a lot of people had had Roof damage and such due to Hail. That said, my B Ratings on the Responsiveness, Punctuality, and Professionalism are all very much influenced by this, as everyone was getting work done, there were no less that 5 different groups in my subdivision alone, on any given day, and the owner of the company, Tony, voiced this up front and gave me a longer lead time to get started. He was able to get to us faster than the original long lead he stated. When we did speak, Tony was friendly and professional, but he wasn't always easy to get hold of. When we had some items that weren't quite right, he had gotten it taken care of, without excuses and it was resolved quickly (and for note, none of the items were big things, just smaller things, for example, missing to paint the inside of the door way (framing) on the garage. Also note, this review is being written around 2 years after all work was done. So my A on Quality is not right after work was done, but in a 2 year tried and tested time frame, in which the work still looks great overall, and no problems areas have arisen. I had a lot done, and they did it in a good amount of time in comparison to my neighbors and friends roofing people, and, taking into considering the current workload and simultaneous jobs they had going at the time. Each job I had done was a different crew. Some were Great (Team that did the Fence) and Some were, less than great (Team that did the roof, which was what was currently in high demand at the moment). I did look over materials that were used, and all was exactly what was stated up front, and was all the name-brand material, in case anyone is curious. He also did NOT charge extra for two color paint use (trim and siding varied). Warranties were all good and at least 5 years for lowest (fencing) and considerably longer (I think 20-25 for roof) for other items. Overall I would recommend to use, and I will probably use again myself. I would expect the experience to be a firewall 5 (All A's) when next I choose to use them, as it won't be during a time that everyone and their mother are getting the same type work done."

"I had problems in our back yard with water pooling during heavy rainfall and was concerned about possible flooding of our house and garage.  We have a pool and concrete patio, so I knew this was not going to be an easy fix.

Rob came out and spent about 2 hours looking over our situation and talking about options.  After he left, he came up with a single plan with components so we could proceed one step at a time, then wait and evaluate the success of that step or do a number of steps at once. 

Since we we were very concerned about the possibility of flooding, we elected to proceed with regrading, adding an exterior drainage line from the garage to the street, replacing an existing line from the house to the street, adding catch basins and re-grading areas around the house and garage.

The work was done at the days and times arranged; the crew was very considerate and professional and the work was beautiful.  

Most importantly, we have had several very heavy rainfalls and the solutions we had implemented by Works By Rob are performing as well as we had hoped.   We had no accumulation of water and no worries!"
