After they installed a vent and clean-out the line was snaked again. A few days later I noticed Water in another part of the house. It was a leak in the main stack. It seemed that the cast iron pipe had rusted and with the snaking, it developed a hole. My house was built in the 1920?s and this was the original stack. These plumbers were able to do it all and at a great price. Much, much less than I would have paid through some of the other plumbing companies. I will use these guys again and again. Everything was explained and I saw the problems with the pipes. I was impressed that they showed up when they said they would and if they were running a little late they would call. They are able to do the job quickly and effectively. They are and A+ in my book.

"After calling four plumbers to service what we thought was a major drain leak (overflowing tub, flowing down to our main level ceiling), Fred called back shortly after I initially reached out and left a message with one of his staff members.  He wanted to know, in detail, what was going on and would stop to interject and to ask me questions to ensure that he understood the plumbing challenge.  He asked if we would be home for awhile.  I said 'yes', and he said, "I'm really close to your address, we'll be over there shortly to check this out."  They were prompt, courteous, and he took the time to troubleshoot and to decipher that it wasn't a plumbing or drain problem; it was a washer/dryer problem.  He suggested next steps; part of the equation was having an appliance repair professional out to fix the problem.  He asked me to call him back and let him know what the challenge was. I asked what I could pay him and he said, "Nothing at all."  My husband and I were floored!  For someone who went out of their way to help us and to not write up a bill in return made our day.  He was solutions oriented, he was thorough, and he was so compassionate.  He just really cared about our challenge and wanted to ensure that it was taken care of.  We'd call him again in a heartbeat!

"We had a very difficult faucet to replace in a 60+ year old house and knew we couldn't do it ourselves.  I sent James pictures of the bathtub fixture and plumbing to assess the cost.  He provided a reasonable estimate and showed up on time.  I think the job ended up being much more difficult than expected, due to the age of the house and old fixture.  In spite of it taking 3 hours, with lots of minor complications, he honored the estimate and was very professional.  We will definitely hire him to do future work.

"Marcus was fantastic! He arrived a few minutes early, and he walked with me as I showed him a couple areas where our gutters were leaking. He then went up to the roof to clean the gutters, and they look great. Once he was done, he reviewed his findings with me with pictures, including pointing out where he found the causes of the leaks and caulked them to prevent further leaks. He then sent me a link to all the pictures so I have them for my records. I will absolutely use American Home Contractors again - highly recommended!"
