"<p>Had a wonderful experience with Musee and Azim.  Customer service is outstanding. Our rug (inherited with lots of stains) was picked up at exactly the time we were told they would be there and Azim had sent an email reminding us the day before about the pickup and then called the morning of to make sure this was still convenient for US!  What a refreshing experience!</p> <p>Two weeks to the day - as promised, our rug was brought back to us and they assisted us in getting it installed in the living room. Rug was much cleaner than I ever dreamed it would have been and smells great now!</p> <p>We will definitely use Musee again for the other carpets in our home!  </p> <br />"

"Excellent experience. From working with Vena, our sales consultant, to the guys that actually handled the installation. Everyone was professional. Every room had large furniture that needed to be broken down, relocated, and then put back together. The installers handled our personal belongings in a professional manner. They were able to complete the job within one day. We'll use Spring Carpets again if we have ANY flooring needs."

"I had already purchased the tile so just needed someone to do the installation. Got excellent help picking a grout that best matched the tile. The tilers arrived on time and did a great job removing the old flooring, preparing the floor, and laying the tile. When the work was complete however I noticed that the sliding closet doors no longer slid/moved, the carpet was not cut to match the tile for one bathroom, and their was a noticeable difference between the height of the hall carpet and the new tile in the other bathroom. The tilers told me it was not their job to fix these problems. It was able to fix the closet door problems myself. I however had to call Ideal and schedule another time for their carpet guy to come out and fix the carpet/tile transition issues for the two bathrooms. It was a week later when the carpet guys came out and they did a great job finishing the job. For the price paid I was expecting someone in the original crew to have taken care of these 3 items."

"The serviceman was very professional and polite, also he communicated with me about his timing which I appreciated. The carpet cleaning was great, made the room smell fresh. It was most important to me that I found a company who used green, non-toxic products so I’m very pleased with UpFront Services. I would probably skip on the extra carpet protectant, I spilled some liquid on my carpet two days later and it didn’t “bead”. Overall I’m really happy with the carpet cleaning service and will refer to friends and family."

"A+ 10 star rating. Flaherty’s is the most professional, courteous, & knowledgeable company we’ve ever used. We replaced 2200 sq.ft hardwood floors, using their expert, detailed, hardworking team of installers, who were neat, clean, & friendly. They never pushed us to make a decision and were responsive to our questions and concerns. We can’t imagine going anywhere else, and they weren’t the cheapest quote we got! We chose them because we TRUSTED them. INTEGRITY wins!"

"We were very pleased with our overall experience with Floors For Living. We had been shopping around for carpet and laminate flooring and Joshua was informative and helpful. The examples of laminate installed in the store helped us to make a decision along with Joshua’s expertise. The installation went well and Andrew called to follow up and make sure we were happy. I have already referred friends and family to the store! Happy that we found them!"

"Lisa and Tim, the brother/sister duo owners of Rugmasters are excellent and I highly recommend them. Tim took meticulous measurements and Lisa managed all aspects of the job.Lisa helped with everything, including helping me pick the floors. The work was completed on schedule. Their price was a great deal below the local contractor who did some remodeling work in my house and they they were terrific to work with. My advise: Never to use a general contractor to put in floors - use people who are experts in flooring. Rugmasters are the experts. Lisa and Tim do all aspects of flooring from rugs, stone, tile, and carpet. They are local and take pride in their work. They put tile in my kitchen floor in 2000 and Tim still had his drawings. The kitchen floor still looks great and the laminate looks like real wood, is very easy to maintain, and is beautiful. Make Rugmasters your first call for flooring."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Friendswood, TX

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
