"I had new quartzite counter tops put in by A&R granite in March. Unfortunately, the seam was very noticeable both visually and by feel. It was very rough at the seam where the 2 pieces were put together. The workers came out a week later to fix it using using what I think they said was Super glue. That did not hold up for more than a couple of weeks. After that, the owner himself came out and sanded down the seam but that took off the shine off that area and created a bumpiness on the stone. He said he would order a product that could bring the shine back. It took about 2 months before they came out again and that was after me calling them twice about it. The people that came out to shine the area were not able to bring the shine back to what it was before. They said there was nothing more they could do. My feeling is that they should have made sure the counter top was level before they finished installing them, then the seam would have been smooth. Overall, they did not get the repair done in a timely basis and the end result of the fix was not good."
