"Noel did a beautiful job on our landscaping project last year. All of our neighbors compliment us on the new look of our front yard. He is very professional and followed up several times to check on everything. He is very easy to work with and listened to what we wanted and followed through. He was very helpful with suggestions to make the project have the best possible outcome. Great experience working with Noel! I highly recommend him."

"We are very pleased with the outcome of this project. From the initial phases when Tim Glasco came out the house and assessed our situation and proposed a solution that would be both effective concerning drainage and aesthetically pleasing. It also turned out to be fire protection barrier, in that there are now no combustible plants within 10 feet of the house. Tim and the crews that did the work are all very professional, knowledgeable, and dependable. He suggested several changes as the work progressed which enhanced the project, and worked with us to make some changes which we desired."

"Dave and his team did a great job on our new playground. We worked together on the design, planning and materials, and they were very helpful and accommodating throughout the entire process. Understood our goals and were able to build exactly what we wanted. Tied into the surroundings neatly and minimized any unnecessary soil disturbance. Wall structure turned out extra sturdy with numerous anchors to the soil underneath. Would highly recommend!"

"The job went as near to perfect as we could imagine.  They had given us a two-week time to complete the job, and even though there was one day that snow prevented work, they still managed to keep within the two-week estimate, mostly because they were on the job every day, and stayed at the job until it was completed.  I can't imagine finding another landscape company that could or would have done a better job.  I would recommend them 100% for this type of work. <br />"

"I spoke with Mr. Shaffer on Monday July 26 and he promptly arrived the following morning for an estimate. Rick was very professional and agreed to install the new unit the following morning. He arrived on time and worked efficiently to install the new water heater. I highly recommend US Boiler Company and will use them for all future plumbing issues."

"This biggest part of the effort was getting the significant amount of dirt and rocks to the back of the house. They had the correct equipment to do this job. Did the work quickly, and cleaned up afterwards. Easy to work with team of folks and very considerate."

"The first day: I was happy to have the help but I thought it went very slow. They pulled weeds between my lavender plants and laid weed cloth between the rows. Three people took eight hours. I thought it was excessive. The second day: Pulled out our heirloom trumpet vine. Didn't pull the elm tree stump. These things were clearly stated. Both days he said he'd bring two people, brought three each time. I"m not one to haggle. I am a trusting individual. I joined this site because I didn't want to be taken advantage of. This is a pay site and it has been my hope that the people represented on this list represent quality contractors. I trust feedback. I feel duped. I find $30.00 an hour for unskilled labour is a bit over the top. I understand it's hard work. I do it as well, but when I'm paying that much money to someone I expect they do what's asked. This is a case of not getting what you paid for."

"I interviewed several contractors for this job and selected Hood Landscaping based on their superior references and overall technical design capabilities.  In our resort area, it is common to call twice the number of contractors needed just to get half of them to show up and make a bid. <br />  Ed Hood came out and personally presented the final design and walked me through the technical details.  We wanted to solve a bad water ponding problem as part of the project.  This needed to be done, before the paver patio could be installed.  Ed's chief designer, Ryan, came up with an innovative solution that I felt really got at the root of the problem.  Ryan was there during the installation of the drain field and patio grading to ensure that his design was properly executed.  I really appreciated the "personal touch" that Ed and his team brought to the project.  I felt we were listened to and kept apprised of what was going on every step of the way.  If I had a question or concern, it was quickly addressed and incorporated in the final work. <br />  The suggestion of using a particular patio paver from the Borgert company in Minnesota, rather than a "stock" paver from Lowe's or Home Depot, was also a great idea.  The overall effect is beautiful and the pavers were much higher quality than available from a big box hardware store. <br />  As the job was nearing completion, I had an idea to build a large stone slab staircase that would connect the west end of the patio to the upper section of our backyard.  Ed discussed it with me personally and took me to a smaller installation they'd done at another home in our community.  He agreed that it would really add a lot to the overall result.  He also advised me that this additional time wasn't in the original plans and it would be 3 weeks before his team could return and finish the project.  As it turned out it was only two and it was WELL worth the wait.  The effect is visually stunning and well executed. <br />  I was impressed with the team's attention to detail and pride in what they did.  Adding to the technical expertise they demonstrated, Ed and Molly Hood just hire good people.  The entire team that was engaged, around 8 people in total, were courteous, polite and well mannered.  I bought them lunch several times and sat down and got to know them as they did my wife, daughter and grandson.  I would have absolutely no hesitation in asking them to join us at the dinner table.  They were a class act and a refreshing departure from many of the rude and profane contractors with whom my neighbors have suffered. <br />  Ed proved to be a man of his word.  When he said he would do something, but it might have to wait a bit, he always delivered.  My neighbors had a particular drainage requirement that had to wait several weeks for completion.  Ed said he would get to it as quickly as their busy schedule would allow.  Without reminder the team, headed by Molly as they were short handed, showed up in my neighbors drive and completed the drainage project. <br />  In summary, I can't say enough good things about this company and their team of people.  They won't be the least expensive, <br /> but they will do what they say and finish the job in a highly professional manner.  I won't use anyone else in the future.  Hood Landscaping, a truly professional organization.  Best wishes for continued success. <br />  Chris & Shari Dorton"

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Frisco, CO

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
