"Choosing Wammoth Services again for our gas fireplace maintenance was a no-brainer after our experience last time. Their comprehensive approach and refusal to rush through the job underscored their professionalism. Remarkably, they fixed our blower, avoiding unnecessary costs, which spoke volumes about their integrity and expertise! The team's meticulousness shone again when they found and repaired two small leaks at no extra charge, demonstrating their honesty. The glass was cleaned so well, the fireplaces looked brand new, absolutely beautiful. Their friendly and personal touch, remembering details about me and acknowledging my referrals, made the service feel especially tailored and considerate. Wammoth Services excels with their expert care, customer-first attitude, and genuine integrity. They're the clear choice for anyone in need of dependable fireplace maintenance. Highly recommend for their exceptional service and trustworthiness."

My grandfather, Salem M. Eways, came to the United States as a Stone Mason. In the late 1920s, he began selling fine textiles door-to-door in New York City, until he and his brother found an opportunity to earn money cleaning and repairing rugs. With dedication and hard work, they built the business and eventually grew into 4 stores in the Pennsylvania region. Salem then moved to Charlottesville in the early 1960s and opened a store named Salem M. Eways Oriental Rugs, located in University shopping center on Old Ivy Rd. After the passing of my grandfather, my father, Frank S. Eways, a state trooper in Pennsylvania at the time, left his job and moved his family to Charlottesville to take care of the family business. He eventually moved the store to Emmet St. across from Bodo’s Bagels, where he then grew the business to one of the largest sellers of oriental rugs in the United States in the mid-1970s. Eventually all of the Eways brothers joined together to become one of the largest and most respected flooring companies in the region. For over 85 years, and three generations, the Eways family has been providing the finest area rugs, rug care and maintenance. We have reached the world to bring you the best quality rugs available. Come visit our showroom to see the best selection of antique, traditional, and contemporary rugs in the area. Additional emails - franksr@ewaysrugs.com, adam@ewaysrugs.com. Award winning. "I brought in 2 antique Persian rugs for cleaning that have been in my family for decades. Moojan's (the owner) expertise of the rugs and how to clean and care for them was exactly what I was looking for. I was very satisfied with the results and will be returning to him for future rug needs. He is the best in the DMV area."

"I sent my initial inquiry e-mail at 6:24AM, and Carlos wrote back at 6:52AM asking if he could come by that morning between 8 and 9AM. After having three other companies quote it, I selected Water Damage DMV based both on the cost of the estimate, his promptness and communication, and the clarity in answering questions I had. When Carlos arrived to do the work, he went right to it. He worked quickly and kept me informed about what he was finding and how it was going. When he was done with that, he put in humidifiers at first. The next day, he came with help to apply the mold-prevention treatment before adding fans to aid in drying. He checked in daily either in person or by text until it was time to remove them, at which point he came and did so. I was very happy to work with Carlos and Water Damage DMV. While I hope to never need their services again, if I happen to be that unlucky, I know who I will be calling."

"Highly recommend C & R for their prompt and professional services and going the extra mile to satisfy their customers. Wanted a waterproof flooring for my family, kitchen, and bath. My salesman Joe recommended CORTEC flooring and I went with a gray tone flooring. It look beautiful, love how great it came out. The lead installer, Armando was the bomb, he and his crew wasted no time getting up the carpet and laying down the flooring. It’s now just one seamless flow from room to room. Didn’t like the standard picture frame look around the fireplace so my salesperson Joe, brained stormed to come up with solutions. Armando came back out removed it, tweeted the area some, and I am thrilled with the new look. See pictures below"

"Botched install AND reinstall; dismissive, rude staff Flooring purchased and installed in our home in 2023 and joints began to separate within months. When I reported this by phone to Floor Fashions, I was advised to glue the pieces together using wood glue. Glue failed and another joint started bowing. I went back to the company in June 2024 then waited three months for reinstallation. After another month, the reinstalled pieces are now separating as well. Visited showroom to demand resolution. The response of the warehouse manager – responsible for reinstall – was to note that I had not responded to a follow-up call placed three days after the reinstall (seriously). When I explained thst as a customer it’s my responsibility to pay – not to return his calls, his response was “this conversation is over” and walked away. Exchange was witnessed by sales associate who sold us the flooring. Images show install and reinstall."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Front Royal, VA

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
