Everything went very smoothly.

Each person involved with the process knew what he was doing: the salesman, the man who measured and made the template, the fabricator and the installer. They were all very professional, attentive to detail and punctual. The entire process was very streamlined and easy. It looks beautiful.

They also did my daughter's kitchen counters and sink a few years ago and her project came out beautiful as well.

"The finished master bath went beyond our expectations. This is an extremely professional team whose work meets the highest standards; they are craftsmen in every sense. The installation team are highly skilled craftsmen whose quality and work results would be difficult to duplicate. The materials, shower, tiles, and counter tops were of the highest quality. They maintained schedule and budget and finished near on time, a real feat in this time of material and parts shortages."

"WONDERFUL! The team was meticulous, prompt, polite and did a fantastic job. Our walls are old with many imperfections and they made them look like new. They covered everything and did not get any paint on the new floors, appliances, cabinets or countertops. They were SO careful and the work is just beautiful. We are so pleased and will absolutely hire Manny's painting service in the future as well as recommend them to our friends and family. They said if I needed touch ups or noticed anything imperfect after the job was completed, to call them and they could come fix it for free. They were so nice to work with!"

"Everything about this company and crew was exceptional to include wearing their masks, being polite, constantly asking questions to validate our needs, demonstrating their intent before they did everything to make sure it met our expectations. They give architectural suggestions that help improve our home. Quality was above average - excellent. They applied the classic "measure many times, cut once." Our renovation was in the six figures included porcelain tiles, heated tiles in the sunroom, painting, an entire kitchen, drywall, replacing appliances from one home to another because we bought a new place and were renovating it. They installed an electrical outlet by the toilet and installed an advanced bidet with heated water, heated air, etc. REAL ESTATE: They helped us a LOT in getting the for-sale property for sale. They were so successful the property sold in less than 12 hours from listing and 4% over list price."

FAQs for laminate countertops installation projects in Fulton, MD

With the right care and a professional installation, laminate counters last 10 to 15 years. Wipe up spills quickly, clean with a nonabrasive product, and keep hot pots off the surface to prevent warping or scorch marks. Limiting prolonged moisture at seams also pays off. Your installer can walk you through simple maintenance habits that will help you squeeze every year out of your new counters.

Yes—if the existing laminate is solid and level, a pro can bond a fresh sheet right on top. They’ll rough up the old surface, apply the correct adhesive, and make precise cuts so the new layer sits tight. Skipping steps can lead to bubbles or weak seams, so this project is best left to an experienced installer who has the tools to deliver a clean, durable finish.

Absolutely, you can give tired laminate a facelift with paint, tile, or a concrete overlay instead of a full tear-out. The key is thorough prep: clean, degrease, and lightly sand so the new finish sticks.

Follow the product instructions for primer, sealers, and cure times, or hire a pro if you’d rather avoid the mess. When done correctly, these updates freshen the look and add a few more years of useful life.

Mix baking soda with just enough water to form a paste, then spread it over the stain and let it sit for five minutes. Wipe away with a soft, damp cloth—don’t scrub, as abrasives can dull the surface. Repeat if needed. For stubborn marks, ask your installer about cleaners made specifically for laminate.

Laminate isn’t built to battle the elements. Water, UV rays, and temperature swings quickly cause swelling, fading, and mold. Even a covered patio won’t protect the material for long. If you’re planning an outdoor kitchen or bar, skip laminate and choose a weather-tough option like stone, tile, or concrete so you don’t end up replacing your counters after the first season.

Traditional laminate isn’t the greenest choice. Most sheets rely on plastics like melamine and can emit trace VOCs over time. They also can’t be recycled at the end of their life. A few brands now use recycled pulp cores, but plastics still make up much of the product.

If sustainability tops your list, consider natural or recyclable materials such as solid wood, stone, or recycled glass instead.
