"Capital Appliance called me right after I applied at Angi for help to repair my GE washer that was squealing whenever water ran in it. Capital Appliance service technician Clint was quick to evaluate the problem and ordered the part. The part arrived the next day and Clint came by and installed it that same day. I’m pleased with the service and I would call them again for any other appliance issues. Thank you Capital Appliance! Sincerely, MJ"

"Overall experience was positive. The diagnosis was good and only required a $15 part that was able to install myself. My frig is working great. While my total cost for the repair was $80 which included the $35 diagnostic fee, the lowest other price quote was over $400. I am very pleased with this new type of appliance repair. I will be recommending this my family and friends."

"Quick accurate diagnosis, specification of repair parts. Proper characterization of sourcing timeline. When parts became available, Donald completed the repair within 24 hours. In these days where our appliances just don’t seem to last long, I will reach out to Donald first for repair services."

"Kris at DK Appliance was the second repairman, after the first was unsatisfactory. I knew the heating element was out and the first guy replaced it. When there was still no heat the first guy and I didn't agree on lots of things. So I came to Angie's List, got several call-backs, and Kris arrived the next morning on Dec. 22. He called early and had me run the dishwasher an hour before arrival. He stayed 2 hours to confirm the control board needed replacing. Ordered the part and was going to come Christmas Eve. Local part place was closed the 24th, but I ordered directly from Whirlpool and Kris was still able to come. Friendly, professional, explained what was going on. His wife was awesome on the phone as well. If you see the cost listed below it doesn't include the part. Like I told him, whenever I call a repair person (probably 6 in 2018) I learn something: either something about the repair or which person not to call back. If needed, I would definitely call DK APPLIANCE again."

"I had a question about microwave repair. He answered all my questions and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Unfortunately new parts are no longer available for model in question. He gave me part # if I wanted to call around for a used part somewhere. Got lots of good info."

"This review is dated. In doing another review on a/c repair, I realized I hadn't completed this one. <br /> Mr Kaukereit was punctual/responsive to my call for service. <br /> A disappointing and common theme with him was that he was in a big hurry once he arrived. I reviewed the issues that I wanted to have addressed and he gave me a quote for what I thought was going to involve more work than what he actually did. <br /> Because the leak in my shower stall drain was an issue/problem that had occurred before, there was some thought process on my part that some plumbing would need to be replaced/redone. When he came back, I'm not sure that he didn't repeat the same process the plumber before him had. He was almost secretive in what he was doing where some of his work was concerned and even commented that "if I saw what all he was doing...I might do it myself next time and not call him". <br />   <br /> In order to replace the hot water heater, we needed to drain the lines. An unnecessary step in his hurriedness resulted in us needlessly uncapping the well head. Because of the depth of the well and the amount of water and pressure in the lines, it took some time for the pressure to go down. He was so anxious/in a big hurry that we needlessly uncapped the heavy cement cap at the well head (which he didn't help me recap). <br /> I wanted to be as helpful as I could to insure the job went well. While he was rolling the water heater to the crawlspace area, it rolled off the handcart. After this happened, he asked if I could "go find something to do...that I made him nervous". Although I'm unsure about his original quote, he seemed to regroup...not that he was more expensive, but that he changed his "services". I thought the shower stall was going to require new plumbing (since this was a problem that had recurred), some of the plumbing at the holding tank was to be replaced with copper. Maybe there was some misunderstanding on my part about those parts. What disappointed and puzzled me the most was that I had to call him back out to repair the garden tub faucet leak. Once he initially repaired it, it was leaking more than before he started. After the second repair, the faucet that he "repaired" opens counter clockwise, while the cold water opens clockwise. It's not leaking, but I won't call him back to correct this.  <br />"

FAQs for fridge, freezer or ice maker repair or service projects in Fuquay Varina, NC

Most ice makers are similar in design, and some parts are interchangeable. However, if your ice maker has advanced filters or special features, it's best to use the same make and model to ensure everything works properly. Ask your appliance repair pro to check your appliance specifications to be sure.

With regular use and proper maintenance, an ice maker typically lasts about four to five years. If you keep up with tasks like changing the filters every six months, you might get up to 10 years out of your ice maker. Address any problems with your ice maker right away by calling an appliance professional to ensure you solve any issues before they escalate, helping to keep your ice maker running smoothly for longer.

Your refrigerator's age plays a big role in deciding whether to repair or replace the ice maker. If your fridge is nearing the end of its average 14-year lifespan, it might not be worth investing in expensive repairs since other parts could fail soon. Getting a diagnosis from a refrigerator repair pro can help you decide what's best.
