Another contractor told me that the job was impossible, because of obstables both between closet floor and dining room ceiling and closet ceiling and roof. "I hired JW Home Improvement to remove wood filler and a microwave above my electric stove, and replace it with a pre-made cabinet and new range hood. Denis, the JW Technician who was sent to my home to conduct the work, was very professional, knowledgeable and detail oriented. Due to an unknown pre-existing issue that necessitated cutting into the dry wall in the bulk-head (above my stove), the job ended up taking approximately 3 hours longer than what was originally projected. That being said, Denis devised a successful solution to deal with the unexpected snag, repaired the drywall and expertly painted the entire wall. I am issuing a rating of five out of five stars for his performance."

"The young man that came to see my missing shingles on my roof, was professional, informed, and polite. The only issue was that the company does NOT conduct repair as I needed. The company only replaces the entire roof. I am glad he came and advised about replacing the roof if we decide to do that and decide that we can afford it. "Mo from Presidential Exteriors inspected our roof and did an excellent job. He was polite, professional, and friendly and answered all of our questions. He was very thorough, and showed us the problems with our roof both externally and internally. He explained how they would replace our roof and explained about all of their premium products, great insurance, great warranties, certified builders etc., that they provided. I know that building our new roof will be done well because they have such good materials, technique, and builders who will work on it."

"I contacted references prior to interview/site inspection -  all reference were very happy with contractor, but none of them had any insurance work done.  
Interview was favorable except the contractor did verify that he does not do much if any insurance work.  
The real problem was the inspection of the damage and his repair strategy.  First of all, despite the fact that his office insisted that I provide them a copy of the insurance company estimate ? he had not even looked at it prior to the appointment.  He had not read the detailed engineers report that outline the corrective action needed.  
His suggested approach to repair the damage did not follow the engineer?s recommendation.  Needless to say I did not have this contractor provide an estimate.  
Based on his references, he does great work for remodeling where he is in control of all aspects of the job.  Would not recommend for insurance work were he would be required to work with the insurance company / engineers in meeting recommended repair strategies."
