"They listened on the phone and repeated my explanation back to me perfectly the first time. That was nice. A very experienced friendly man listened to my story carefully and addressed the issue that stopped me from doing the repair myself. He cut out the broken (old chrome pipe) that led to the cast iron drain. He tried a wrench like I did, then stopped when it was obvious that would never work. Cut out the pipe without causing further damage. He then snaked it out, and we discussed how in the future this pipe should eventually be replaced. Then he expertly put it back together with new parts. Now I can plan long term solution while resuming my daily routine."

"I had a clogged drain line near the street that a rooter guy couldn't break through. I thought I was looking at having to replace the entire line. At the risk of throwing good money after bad, I called Grumpy's. I got great advice over the phone including a number to call if I decided to have the line dug up. The rate I was quoted was reasonable. Grumpy came out and cleared the line in less than half an hour. In addition, he put a scope down the line, found the exact location where roots were getting through, and marked the spot with paint at no extra charge. He wrote down the coupling and pipe I would need to make the repair. When I dug, the break was right where he indicated. Grumpy was a real pro. He saved me a bunch of time and money."

"This experience was unequivocally the BEST experience we've ever had with a contractor. Charles is personable, knowledgeable, fairly priced (not the cheapest; not outrageous). He uses his own team and they were excellent. This is a condo building and there are many hoops to jump through and a very stringent remodeling process. Charles shepherded this project through for us dealing with the HOA and the neighbors and the onsite management staff. Everyone commented on what a professional and co-operative contractor we hired. His staff was beyond courteous and accommodating every step of the way, just like the boss! 

This was a fairly big project that required the demolition of a wall and the removal of large plumbing fixtures and a lot of tile debris. (Always a huge pain in a shared building.) The crew worked diligently, arrived on time, left within the building requirements for construction and encountered not one single complaint. 

Charles acted as a design consultant and took me "shopping" for all necessary materiel. His advice on plumbing fixtures, lighting and decor, and surface covering was knowledgable and respectful of our budget.  Everything was acquired on time and the project actually started slightly early (to our delight). They took great care to protect the rest of the condo from any dust and/or debris during the actual construction period which was right on schedule.

"Advised there would be a hole in the wall that I would need to repair after replacing and installation. Wish I would have known that prior. Not sure if that is my negligence? Had to run to store as did not have all parts to finish. Advised I would get charged for that? Have not seen the bill for it however so maybe they realized it was their issue. All in all it was quick and we have a functional water faucet.
