"Technician was friendly and helpful, explained underlying problem with my leach line and pumped tank.  Cleared leach line for now but will need further repair in the future as line has sunk slightly and roots have intruded."

"IIt went well from start to finish with Speedy Septic and we were
very happy with their  services.
We were overdue to have our septic tank pumped but did not know where our
septic tank was located and had not been able to get a map from the county. We
had previously called a different septic tank company our neighbor had used.
They came out and because an inspection port could not be located pulled our
toilette and put down a camera. Then they went outside and located where they
thought our septic tank was and we put up flags. They thought it was over 4
feet down so wanted to call in an excavation crew, which we did not want to do.
I was advised to call them once the septic tank lid was located and they would
pump it out but I would likely need to call someone else to put in the riser
due to their schedule. We decided to have our landscape gardener do some
digging to try and locate the tank but that was not successful.
We decided to go on Angies List and find a different septic tank
company that could do the entire job. Speedy Septic had great reviews so we
called them and I was told they could do the job from start to finish. While I
was on the phone they went out on the internet and located a map for our septic
tank and sent it to me for no charge before I had decided to use their
services. We hired them and they came out within a few days. In less than 15
minutes they had located our septic tank lid about two feet below ground by using
the map, a probe and looking at the slope of our lawn. It was about 25 feet
away from where the previous septic tank company had told us it would be. In
less than an hour they had located and uncovered our septic tank lid and both
drain field inspection ports on our lower lawn with a minimum of digging because
their location skills are excellent. They pumped our tank and were done with
the job in about two hours. They explained everything to me in detail and
answered all my questions. They also explained how our septic tank works and
how to care for it in the future. I was offered the option of having risers
installed and they explained they would need to obtain the parts and have a
team come back to install the risers (which was an additional charge). We had
them come back to install the risers and again they did an excellent job and
also made every effort to accommodate my schedule and answer all my questions.

"I'm a strong advocate for supporting locally owned and operated businesses. I've lived in a few different homes in Portland over the last 20 years and I have used Pacific Crest Plumbing for almost a decade. I don't intend to ever call anyone else. That's how much I like and trust them. Ten years ago I needed some minor repairs done to a recently purchased first home. They were on time, done quickly, super friendly, steered me in the right direction, didn't sell me on anything other than what was needed, and left the area where they were working cleaner then when they arrived. From that point, Pacific Crest is the only call I make. A few years later, my hot water tank kicked the bucket... they had my old one out and a new one in place almost immediately. Most recently, I had them replace all the plumbing in my house, including a main line in from the street. They were in and out in a bit over a day. They had to dig up the yard for the new main line... when they were done, it was like they were never there. They've always been on time, they have always texted me the day of with an exact ETA, they've always been friendly, and the price was always been exactly what was quoted. I can't say enough good things."

"I had a clogged drain line near the street that a rooter guy couldn't break through. I thought I was looking at having to replace the entire line. At the risk of throwing good money after bad, I called Grumpy's. I got great advice over the phone including a number to call if I decided to have the line dug up. The rate I was quoted was reasonable. Grumpy came out and cleared the line in less than half an hour. In addition, he put a scope down the line, found the exact location where roots were getting through, and marked the spot with paint at no extra charge. He wrote down the coupling and pipe I would need to make the repair. When I dug, the break was right where he indicated. Grumpy was a real pro. He saved me a bunch of time and money."

"The crew who came to the house included: Chris, Josh, Christian and Jeff. They were all very professional and they explained very clearly what work needed to be done and where they would need to cut into walls and ceilings. We have a 3 bathroom house with a full finished basement. The crew attempted to make easy cuts for me to repair. The house was as clean as can be expected after two days of work. The job was done completely and thoroughly. We had an issued with the shut off valve and they returned the next day to fix our issue and Josh came out he was professional and friendly. I would definitely hire them again for any plumbing problem. Robert"

"Ryan checked the outside then went into the crawl space to check on the leak. He complimented the prior plumber on how they had attached the new piping to the exterior wall. Replaced the spigot and then hard packed it against a brick wall. On time, easy to talk with and went about his job quickly."

"As always Angi came through as did Roth Home. I needed outdoor lights replaced on the garage and by the front door and some indoor outlets replaced. Appointment was very quck and the work was done even quicker and VERY professional. Electricians are not cheap anywhere and I find their prices were fair. Any future work I need done they will be my first call. I HIGHLY recommend Roth Home!!"

FAQs for sewer main install, replace or repair projects in Gales Creek, OR

When installing a sewer line, you should consider extra costs like tree removal, driveway repairs, or patio resurfacing. Hiring a professional plumber is essential, and you may need additional specialists if landscaping or heavy excavation is involved. Addressing these potential extras up front helps ensure accurate budgeting and prevents sudden cost overruns.

To calculate the length of sewer piping you need, measure the distance from your house to the main sewer line, adding the depth of the city main to this distance. Be sure to account for any obstacles like tree roots or utility lines that may require additional piping.

City sewer lines are installed at a lower elevation to prevent unwanted backflow and water damage. This lower positioning ensures enhanced performance and long-term safety, meeting all technical and safety standards.

With trenchless methods, a plumber inserts a smaller pipe within the existing plumbing, avoiding full excavation. It can be more cost-effective and less disruptive than traditional methods, but it's not suitable for all homes.

Yes, you must secure permission from your local water authority before connecting to a public sewer line. This approval ensures your connection meets all regulatory requirements.

Sewer lines are buried between 18 inches and 8 feet deep, with most systems placed between 18 and 30 inches. In colder regions, pipes are set deeper to remain below the frost line.
