"I called Martin Appliance to get them to check my washer which smelled like it was burning. They had a cancellation so were able to get us in the same day! Curt arrived right on time. He took apart the washer and determined that the burning smell and noise were caused by a broken drum. He advised us it would make more sense to buy another since the cost of parts and service was high. He then determined the actual cost of the parts so we could make an informed decision. <br /> We took the opportunity to query Curt about repair and reliability of new washers. He gave us his advice based on his repair experience. He then told us that Martin sold appliances and had some great prices. He also gave us a 30.00 discount coupon in case we chose to buy there. He put the washer back together for us and left. It was a quick visit, but he did all we needed. <br /> I did online research and we went shopping that night. We did end up purchasing from Martin, and picked up a matching dryer as well. They turned out to have the best price on the brand and model we had chosen. Randy was our salesman and he was able to answer all our questions. I also appreciated that he was not pushy. I would not have looked at Martin w/out the suggestion from Curt since you had to sign up and email to get prices from their website. I am glad we took the time to stop by. <br /> The appliances will be delivered Monday and the old washer taken away and disposed of at no extra cost. "We noticed a wet spot in our ceiling and called Alexander Plumbing right up for the 5th or 6th time they have been in our house.  Alexander treated it like an emergency and got out to our house right away, like the next day.  The wax ring under the toilet in the bathroom the floor above was broken and allowing water (hopefully just water!) to escape into the subfloor.  Rather than make a minimal repair and leave, the technician identified that the problem would repeat itself because the flange was poorly placed by the original plumber too low relative to the surrounding finished floor.  He left for parts and returned soon with what he needed to make sure the chance this would reoccur was exactly zero.  Alexander Plumbing Service is not the absolute cheapest option but it's the only company I will use."
