I have been trying to get someone with Ground Zero to return my calls for over a week now. "Mr. Jackson was chosen for the roof repair based on his good reviews and his estimate, which was below another company's for the same materials. The roof was done well. He communicated very well; kept us informed about scheduling, shipment delays. It was finished on schedule and on budget. We had some minor issues which he responded to and resolved. We also received a written estimate from Mr. Jackson for some interior painting and minor remodeling that I will now address. One item on the list of things that needed to be done was a "leftover" from a previous kitchen remodel in 2011. We had beadboard installed on part of the walls; the pantry surround, and an 8' straight wall. Several sections of the beadboard had shrunk; it needed caulking and repainting (we had the paint). I counted. There were 5 full length floor to ceiling seams, and 6 partial seams, due to doorways and built-ins. Mr. Jackson's estimate to caulk and paint these seams was $1400.00!!!. I was flabbergasted and asked him over the phone if this didn't have too many zeros in it?! I truly thought it MUST be a typo! He said that NO, it was not a typo. I laughed at him. I told him that this was a ridiculous price for the amount of work that this would entail. He then offered to drop the price to $800.00. I told him that IF we hired him for this job, we would be leaving this out. He wanted $1550.00 to hang 2 shoe racks (which I already had) and paint the inside of 2 small standard closets. He verbally dropped that price to $900.00. We hired another contractor, also through AngiesList with excellent reviews, and turns out we had known him for years and he built our deck when he was our neighbor. He caulked the beadboard seams in under an hour. The next day, his painter painted them in about the same amount of time. In conclusion, we were happy with our roof, but I would caution anyone considering Jackson&Jackson for a type of job like we had to pay strict attention to line item pricing. There could be some shocks in there."

"... After studying their High Quality work on a friend's 2nd Story Sunroom and Dining Room... My Bride and I decided that we wanted this little company in Salem to build our Dream Room. Steve ( Southwest Sunroom Sales Manager ) was right on track; He reassured us that the Southwest Team could handle any contingency. And they did with Incredible Results ! Personable and friendly communication, and coordination, removed all the stress that comes with any challenging project - they actually made it fun. These are professional contractors and builders and a service team that deliver to Happy Customers. Some events: Pergula takedown, Deck removed, Fish pond moved and filled in, Electrical power updated to code, and power lead moved to other side of home... Then the really impressive Construction started on our 14x18-foot new "LIVING ROOM" There were No Inspection Issues, WOW. And believe me, the inspectors were here during All stages of the project (s), You get your money's worth plus = Southwest always builds safe, above, and beyond the code. i.e. you can literally drive a tank up on the subfloor and foundation. It Is BUILT ! I retired from the U.S Marines and have spent the last 26 years in Service and Installation work locally, and have been to "some" job sites and teamed up with lots of service people. What has impressed me most about the Southwest folks was how motivated and skilled the two guys that did most of the construction were... Troy and Key really excel in my book, and they obviously love the kind of challenging work they do. Come sun or rain , they were here early and motivated and ready with a plan to get 'er done. Communication and Status updates are very good top-down = Service Manager and VP (Kevin) Kept all of us in the loop informed... Even after the initial startup and walk around... to make sure each Builder, Contractor, and Customer is Happy and on the same sheet of music. Noteworthy: When the guys who are actually building your sunroom care enough to call and remind you "that if anything should go wrong this weekend [ because of an approaching tropical storm ] please just call us, we will be home all weekend." That is when you know Southwest has attracted some really Great Employees ! By the way, the new roof and guttering held back and dispersed an incredible amount of rain. The cleanup was always immaculate every day and at Completion = You almost can't tell they were even here and the Mud had been very high... Well, I lied just a little; There is this incredibly fine building attached to our little home. It is really more of a cathedral than a Sunroom ! Mr. Haas stayed in contact with us for more than a month to ensure that any questions or issues we had were addressed."

"The heater they supplied was a good one.  However, they sent an inexperienced repairman to replace the heater.  He slipped and fell through our newly remodeled bathroom.  The company repaired the hole in the wall with the wrong texture and then wrong the  type of grout.  We are going to have ceiling repaired by a company recommended by the my daughter who works for one of the largest builders in the country.  I have cancelled my service with the warrantee company.  I now have to pay an additional $150.00 to have the ceiling refloated and all the wrong grout taken off and replaced with the correct type. <br /> <br /> *In response to service provider response: We hired 1 contractor that they recommended. He came out and said that he did a lot of work for High Tech. He fell through the ceiling that same day. We called High Tech the same day. They wanted my husband to go up in to the ceiling to get a model number. He is 79 years old and could not do that. We then had to contact a different service provider and pay an extra $150.00."

"Our original date got pushed back twice. We werent notified the second time and my spouse missed some work because of it. They started the next day however. The removal crew was great and super fast. The crew putting on the new roof was ok. I really disliked that they smoked on my property and left cigarette butts. I also felt the took more days than was needed. I felt they took a lot of breaks and a two hour lunch. It took 5 days for the roof completion. The crew was very polite and were very good about answer our questions and addressing any concerns. We are very happy with the finished product and the new roof is beautiful. Brad didnt mind us calling him with questions and was very quick to reply.  <br /> We would recommend BTB for roofing. <br />"
