"I contacted Ben Franklin after another company kept putting me off for a month. It was always "we're booked up now, maybe next week." But Ben Franklin (BF) immediately sent someone to give me a free estimate. The price was close to the other company so I went with BF and they started the project immediately. The original plan was to just clean out the line between my home and the city sewer system. They began Feb. 1, but they discovered major problems where my pipes meet the city's. It involved digging up the street and completely replacing my pipes. BF coordinated with the city, so I didn't have to do it. It was a major job and they worked all day in a cold, constant rain. When they had not completed the job by Friday, Feb. 5, I figured we would be without plumbing the entire weekend, but they surprised us by showing up early Saturday morning and worked all day, once again in a cold rain, and completed the job that night because, according to the crew chief, they wanted us to finally have plumbing that works. Shane kept me constantly updated along the way. Friendly, professional crew. Good work. I hope this review isn't too long but other plumbing companies I've dealt with don't seem real interested in actually working! Ben Franklin, however, is eager to work. I'm happy to enthusiastically recommend Ben Franklin."

"Unfortunately, I will not use or recommend Benjamin Franklin, as I had a tech to come to my home due to a dripping outside facet, over the weekend. He Advised me of the work that he would have to do in order to remedy the drip. He further advised that the cost will be just over $700! I was suspect of the inflated cost and called a friend, placing him on speaker so the tech could explain or justify the repair. Needless to say, I declined the service and ask him to leave. The next morning I had another company (Plum Right LLC) to come out and received the service I was expecting, professional, honest and straight forward. Sadly, there are companies out here attempting to take advantage of customers. Benjamin Franklin attempted to over charge me by $600! A $100 job, to include the service charge for $700!! Shame on you Benjamin Franklin! Thank you Plum Right!! EH"

"I had an outside faucet that started leaking. I was very tempted to try to fix it myself or even have one of my neighbors attempt it. After all, ;replacing washers should be easy! Right? However, since the faucet had probably been in place for 30 or more years and I have no working water shut off valve to the house, other than at the street, I was hesitant to let anyone but a professional try the repair. It did turn out only a professional could fix it. It was more than just a washer...the valve also needed replacing. The faucet was very old and that valve is no longer made, even the handle was brittle, frozen on the stem, and the shut off valve inside the house was frozen with age. I tried Angis. Literally within a few minutes I got a call from Kevin, owner of WKD. Shortly Kevin was at my house looking at the job. He gave me an estimate which was exactly what he charged - and the price was very reasonable for the work and time he spent here. He ended up having to cut out the old pipes in the basement, removed the old hose bib and installed a new hose bib with new pipes and fittings. I am pleased with the outcome.
