"Excellent company that maintained my house in Portland while I was living out of state for a few years. The crew always did a great job and were easy to communicate with. They will fix fences, if needed, and clean gutters. I hired them because my neighbor across the street had such a nice yard and she used them. 10/10."

Small jobs welcome

"I highly recommend Hamada Prestige 1 Fine Finishes and Painting LLC for the outstanding work they did on my home in Bend, Oregon. In February 2022, they did an amazing painting job, including custom stain and glaze finishes in my living room. They completely transformed my beams and posts, making them look absolutely beautiful, and my doors turned out fantastic as well. They also painted the entire house and left it looking stunning. What I appreciated most was how clean and organized they were throughout the entire process, along with the exceptional quality of their work. I was so happy with the results that I hired them again in December 2025 to update the look of my dining area. They transformed the previously dull colors on the soffits and beams using their unique technique, giving them a more classic and elegant style. Once again, the results exceeded my expectations. I definitely recommend them and will absolutely use their services again in the future."

"Patrick is detail oriented, professional and kind. He is knowledgeable in his craft and has great mentor group to back him up. His work is clean and he keeps the jobsite very organized. I knew I was working with a professional the moment he showed up. I would highly recommend him. He did an epoxy garage floor coating for me and I couldn't be happier with the results. "

"Jerry replaced our entire aging back deck and stairs to yard using TimberTek products. He included four lights and automatic timer, with one light in each of four posts. We had difficulty with the first timer he installed and Jeri replaced the timer in a timely fashion, and to our satisfaction. The deck was approximately 12 x 18 feet."

"Brian came out and looked over the project and made a good suggestion on how the french doors on the back of the house should be painted out. I thought his bid was very reasonable given all the prep work that would be needed. When I accepted it, he came back with samples of all four paint colors that I wanted to use and then carefully documented where each color was to go. It was a detailed job (windows, rafter tails, brackets, and other trim all painted in various colors) and I appreciated his thoroughness. <br /> Dwayne, the crew leader, and Patty spent almost a whole day just scraping paint and pressure washing. They laid tarps and were properly suited up for lead removal. A week later when things had dried, they came back and suited up again and scraped some more. John began the priming and he and Patty did most of the painting with a little help from Dwayne. The painting took about two and a half days. They weren't as experienced as a previous painter I'd had work on my house, but in the end the old garage looked 100% better. <br /> At the end of the job there was a little miscommunication about whether or not Dwayne was supposed to do a final walk-through as I did have a couple of small concerns. One involved some holes that developed in a clapboard after pressure-washing (apparently mice had gnawed on the inside leaving the board thin). Dwayne came back after the job was finished and filled the holes and painted them out. The other concern was that John had taped off the french doors prior to painting them red, and when he pulled the tape off, there was a little of the white primer showing along all the edges of the panes. He said he'd have John come back and touch those up, but I told him I could easily do that myself as it was a pretty easy task and I did manage to do it in a little over an hour. <br /> All in all everyone was a real pleasure to deal with, and my back yard is looking much improved. <br />"

"Our deck was sorely in need of attention. A high-end contractor we talked to about replacing a fence that had fallen down recommended Dari for the deck refinishing job. This was in early 2016. We called and got a bid (only one) but it seemed a bit steep (not necessarily unreasonable, just money we didn't want to spend at the time) so we didn't ever get around to following through. Finally, this spring (a year later), I emailed Dari to see if the bid was still good. He said it was and to let him know if we wanted to schedule something. I failed to write back and was wondering why he hadn't gotten in touch once the rain stopped. When I realized it was my own oversight rather than his, I wrote back and he immediately replied and said, how about this week? Sure enough, a couple of days later he and his crew showed up and got to work. Dari knows his stuff and his crew worked hard and took care of our property. They ended up stripping, sanding and refinishing an ipe deck of about 8' x 10' and the stairs down to the yard, plus staining the fence that we had finally had rebuilt (our side and our neighbor's side). Communication was good, everything looks great, and we have greater peace of mind that our property is protected from the elements."

"I really liked that they sent someone out after the pressure washing to test different stains to help me choose. This was really great. I also really liked to option to pay over 6 months. My bill was nearly $5000 so that helped. The workers were very nice. I had an overall good experience. One thing though was that after the pressure washing and sanding I pointed out a few times that when the deck was wet there were several places where it looked as if it needed further sanding because it was discolored. But they assured me that it would not cause a problem and they were wrong. Those discolored areas are there."

"We had Augustin and his crew put in a stamped concrete patio in our backyard. They were professional, punctual and did an amazing job. The patio is beautiful. We will be calling him for our next project for sure!"

FAQs for deck, fence, patio or porch clean and seal projects in Gaston, OR

You should clean your deck before sealing it. Cleaning before refinishing is critical. If you don’t remove dirt and debris, you'll trap moisture in the wood, which prevents the new sealer from working correctly and can lead to costly repairs. Whether you need to sand, power wash, or sandblast depends on your deck's condition.

Sealing and staining your deck are essential maintenance methods that protect and beautify your outdoor space. Stain adds rich color and guards against fading, while sealant fortifies the wood against moisture and weather damage. Wood type, climate, deck age, and the degree of existing damage determine whether your deck benefits from one or both treatments. Using both options extends your deck’s durability and enhances its overall appearance.

Power washing and sealing your deck costs $500 to $1,700. This process combines the removal of stubborn dirt and debris with a protective seal that preserves the wood’s integrity. Effective cleaning eliminates harmful buildup, and a proper seal prevents moisture damage and wood decay, ensuring long-term durability and reducing future repair expenses.

Your deck must be sealed every one to three years to maintain its strength and appearance. Regular sealing is essential to protect the wood against moisture, mold, and harmful UV rays. A consistent sealing schedule prevents rapid deterioration and costly repairs. Inspections should be performed annually to determine if the protective layer remains intact, extending the life of your deck.

Leaving your deck untreated compromises its structural integrity and safety. An unprotected deck rots quickly due to moisture and environmental exposure, which means that neglecting sealing results in rapid decay and expensive replacement costs of $4,125 to $11,650. Sealing your deck is essential for maintaining its durability and protecting your home.

The sealant on your deck dries within a few hours and reaches full cure within 72 hours before regular use. It is essential to wait until the complete curing period to ensure the protective layer fully sets and resists weather and foot traffic. Proper drying guarantees that your deck is fully protected against moisture and environmental damage, ensuring lasting quality.
