Initially we contacted him to replace some 65yr old windows, and he was the only contractor to bring to our attention that we had hail damage on the window wraps, siding, gutters, and roof. His experience really helped us thru the insurance claim process and it ended up being a huge cost savings for us. "Initial estimate was for the concrete tear out only. Emailed Ross for a side visit. He came the same day. Quoted $1700 ($1200 for 4 inch). After the tear out was done, I asked him to quote the class five preparation. We agreed on $1350 and the work was done the next day. Everything was done on time. "We needed to replace the siding on our home, had four companies come to our house (three of which were initially found through Angi), and are glad that we used Hoffman Weber to do the job. Their sales associate (Al Lien) was knowledgeable and helpful, but no pressure, which I personally appreciate very much. They had a range of options, and in the end we chose to use HardiPlank which was less expensive than LP at the time of our project. The Hoffman Weber price was very competitive (and significantly lower than the high-pressure company that came out). The installation went well--the crew was hard working and pleasant, and communication with the project manager (Pete) was easy (the installation was done in February, so, weather affected the days of installation). The finished project looks great."

"When work was started to remove the crushed rock, there was standing water and a lot of mud.  The construction also took place during the very heavy rains of last June.  Tom dug out all of the crushed rock and enough soil to install a good class 5 base, followed by sand and then 7" think Versa Block pavers.  The job was excellent and came through the winter and spring in fine shape, while our neighbors experienced significant frost heaves.  Tom was punctual, took care to not damage the rest of the yard when removing all of the stone and bringing in the pavers.  The work was excellent and we have received many complements on how it looks.  We feel that we definitely got our money's worth with the job.  I would highly recommend Tom and his team.

"I'll make this short, but could write a novel. From the start he was great to work with, then once work began dates kept getting pushed and pushed. the wrong garage door was installed, I had a garage door opener installed that I didn't ask for (but am glad it's there now), the service door was the wrong swing, the apron had to be redone due to being the wrong size and it didn't have a slope to it. I heard over and over that he was just the messenger to relay the information to his sub-contractors. the project was completed one month after the 'promised' completion date. Once the project was comlete I have to say that I'm happy with the finished product, just the process was VERY frustrating. That's the short version...take it for what you will."

"We first hired Paul in 2011 to handle the 'restoration' of a cedar sided greenhouse attached to our home (both exterior and interior). It proved to be a complex and challenging project.  Thanks to Paul, there were no 'surprises'.  His pricing was beyond fair.  You don't need to be concerned about any overselling or lack or concern for quality.  We were so impressed with the outcome on our greenhouse project that we didn't consider approaching other contractors to bid on projects we wanted  completed this summer.  
Paul is unusually effective in his ability to assess a project, anticipate what will be required, articulate the  project scope in a clear and concise proposal and keep the customer informed and aware every step of the way (i.e. no surprises).  Each of our three projects presented unique and often challenging aspects---project # 1 required judgement calls on evaluating the scope of the project  (e.g. how much siding/soffit material required replacement); managing angles and elevations that were problematic at best, and somehow meetIng a deadline so the painting company could proceed on schedule (remember June and all that rain--).  Project #2 required regrading the ground beneath the deck and installing ledger flashing to resolve a water leakage problem. Project #3 , well, it's our garden!  Details are everything, and Paul managed to deliver beyond our expectations.
Obviously, we have great confidence in Paul Landmann and have no hesitation in giving him our highest recommendation.
