"5 stars all the way - this is an exceptional company providing an exceptional service! From the first contact to the last, every interaction was friendly, professional, and informative. I could not ask for anything better or more! The service itself (spray foam) is an absolute game changer. I didnâ t expect to feel the difference so quickly, but I literally noticed just walking in the door. Everything is more comfortable and my furnace is on considerably less than it was (even in colder weather). An electrical contractor who stopped in to finish some work noticed the difference, and he had no idea we were having work done! Highly recommend, A+++! So thankful we went with AB Insulation :)"

"I am tired of the feeling I am getting ripped off by contractors so I did my homework and knew how much it should cost to spray my room with the closed cell insulation. Online sources say you can expect to pay $1.00-1.50 per board foot. This is simply square foot times the number of inches in depth. Superior came out to be within that expected range at around $1.48 per board foot. I appreciated the fact that they scheduled my job within 3 weeks after coming out to give an estimate since I hoped to get the insulation done before the new windows and doors came. They were here promptly when they said they would be. The business is well stocked with helpful, considerate and professional folk. The salesman was pleasant to work with and not pushy. The ladies in the office, Lillian and Kâ ¦ are very helpful and solution-oriented people. The owner, Jeff, is experienced and spot on with his measurements and pricing. The men doing the install, Ryan and Matt did a good job and were decent and hardworking men but made a few mistakes which were corrected to my satisfaction immediately. I want to encourage them to do their best to emulate their boss Pat. I absolutely loved the field manager Pat. He is the epitome of what all people in the construction field should aspire to become. He is knowledgeable, hardworking, considerate, in possession of both people skills and technical skills. He went above and beyond to make sure I was 100% happy with the product, and I am 100% happy with what I received from Superior. I would tell you if I wasnâ t. Superior better hold on to this guy! Give him a raise or a bonus, but you canâ t let him retire. Itâ s rare to find a gem like this. I have hired many construction jobs on my house over the last twenty years and have had to write some bad reviews. I am pleased to give a good one for a change. Thank you Superior! Iâ ll see you on the next home project."

The Coler team arrived on site at the appointed time and left the work area clean after installation. They went above and beyond our expectations."

FAQs for spray foam insulation projects in Geneva, NY

Old insulation should be removed when it shows damage, contamination, or heavy deterioration. If you notice water stains, rodent droppings, mold, or large gaps, plan on taking it out to protect your home’s energy performance and indoor air quality. Removing compromised material eliminates health hazards, cuts energy loss, and sets the stage for a safer, more efficient attic—all while keeping utility bills in check.

R-value measures how well insulation resists heat flow—the higher the number, the better it slows heat transfer. The right R-value keeps your home warmer in winter and cooler in summer, saving energy year-round. Match the rating to your climate zone and have a pro verify performance over time, because moisture or settling can lower R-value and cut efficiency.

Attic insulation can stay in place for 80 to 100 years, but its performance often drops after the first 15. As dust, moisture, or mold build up, the material loses R-value and allows heat to escape. Schedule periodic inspections so a pro can tell you when replacement makes sense—helping you keep energy bills down and indoor comfort up.

You can over-insulate an attic. Beyond the recommended R-value, extra layers don’t add efficiency and can trap moisture, leading to mold or reduced performance. A local insulation pro can measure current levels, confirm the right target for your climate, and advise on any adjustments so you avoid future energy or maintenance headaches.

Insulation can be damaged by mold, pests, water leaks, or accidental electrical contact. When the material is compromised, it loses R-value and can introduce health hazards. Removing and replacing affected sections restores efficiency, while routine inspections from a qualified pro help you catch problems early and keep your attic safe and energy-smart.
