"Sometimes things don't go well...and when that happens, it's how a company responds that determines the whether to recommend them or not. A tree limb fell and tore a piece of gutter. Sam gave me a reasonable estimate for repair. I work nights and can have work done on Fridays only due to sleeping days. Sam worked with my schedule and sent a worker. When I saw the repair, I was NOT happy. My gutters are oversized and Sam's worker did the repair using a smaller gutter, which looked terrible. I called Sam and sent him pictures of the gutter. Look, things go wrong sometimes with every company you hire. When that happens, it's how the company responds that makes the difference between a company I'd hire again and one I'd warn friends away from. Sam sent a worker out on a Friday to accommodate my schedule. The repair was made with the proper-sized gutter, and Sam stood by his estimate although this project would not be a money-maker for him. I recommend Last Stop Roofing Company and if I need roof or gutter repair, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again."

"The sales rep Tim was very professional and patient with me. Throughout the sales process he listened to all my concerns and explained the process from beginning to end. I know that I would have problems with wood replacement and tim made sure to make note of that. During the install there was a miscommunication with the crew and that lead to inadequate wood repair in the beginning. At this point I called the project manager Walter and explained the situation to him. Shortly after Walter came to my house with the field manager Mike and they both did a more thorough inspection of the wood repair and we came to the solution that best fit my home. After the wood repair incident everything went very smoothly. The crew worked very hard and did beautiful work after they took care of the newly installed wood. Overall the experience good. There was a problem but the way the company responded was great and I was very happy with the final outcome of the project."

"This all started last winter when the roof started to leak around the fireplace.  Mr. Scandroli came out and looked at the problem and put tar all over the roof to keep it from leaking until the roof could be repaired in the spring. To my surprise he called in mid march and said they would start the roof the next Monday.  High winds kept that from happening for two days but the work started on Wednesday and was completed in 5 days.  The men came at 8am every day and worked through till it was dark.  They always made sure that everything was picked up at the end of the day.  Mr. Scandroli came by twice every day and talked to me about the progress of the roof.  The roof and gutters look great and the service was exceptional."

Please feel free to contact our offices at 815-547-0159 to schedule a free estimate. " Now, I could have called them instead of sending a message. I know that. They didn't have to tell me that. But It would have been nice if they had answered my question. A simple yes or no would have sufficed. So I sent my request again making it clear that this was my second request. Two days later I got this. "In response to your questions, we install skylights, steel siding, and steel roofing. If you are still interested in a free estimate, please feel free to contact our offices at 815-547-0159. Thank you." So, was that so hard? I'm not impressed and not inclined to call them. First impressions matter!"

Never even thought I needed a new roof nor could I afford one. "Mr Carlson has done previous interior work for me - patching a leak damaged portion of dining room ceiling and the repainting the entire dining room/living room ceiling. So I contacted him again when we were considering repainting several interior rooms. We started with the kitchen. The work took two days as the first day he did much prep work and applied two coats of new ceiling paint. The previous owners had painted the ceiling the same color as the walls which did not look appropriate at all. Two coats of ceiling white needed to be applied to cover the old color. The second day Mr. Carlson and one of his workers completed the job by painting the walls of the kitchen. This involved a lot of close cutting in work around windows and multiple door frames, etc. Mr Carlson also had his worker do some additional repair work that was needed in addition to the painting. Since Mr. Carlson's business also does handyman work, this worked was well versed in the repair work that I needed done.

Mr. Carlson noticed that the caulking along the back splash and around the sink itself was in poor condition. He redid all of this caulking at the end of his painting. There was no additional charge except for the cost of the caulk.

This is an ongoing project and Mr. Carlson will do additional rooms and hallways in the home as I schedule the work to be done. It is my choice to spread this work over a couple of months time due to my personal schedule."
