"He apparently forgot that he was supposed to be at my house on a certain date and time.  When it got well pass that time, I called <br /> him and he said he'd be here in about an hour as he was on another job.  Following his arrival, it became obvious the two pocket doors could not be repaired, so he went and bought 2 more and installed them the next day.  He also repainted the door jamb.  Upon departure he left some tools, so we notified him and he came back a couple of weeks later to retrieve them.  When he told my husband the cost, my husband paid him by check and requested an invoice.  That invoice finally arrived August 19, 2014. <br />"

"Our water heater sprung a major leak late at night. I called Allen Plumbing to do the repair based on the excellent reviews on Angie's list. I called at 12:30 PM and Lamont was at our home by 3:00 PM. Our water heater clearly needed to be replaced. Lamont could easily have told us that the tank needed to be replaced, and charge us for a new tank. Given the massive amount of water coming from the unit, we would not have known any different. Instead, he went out of his way to phone the manufacturer to see if the unit was still under warranty. It turns out it was, and we ended up with a brand new water heater for a fraction of the expected cost. The job was finished by 6:00 PM. Lamont was professional, punctual, and friendly. We will definitely use his company again."
