I bought a parts kit for him to use, and he used the needed parts and took the unused parts with him. Although I will likely never need those parts, he could have asked before taking them. This is an unusual situation, and I don't know what is causing the problem with my toilet. Evidentally, the plumber didn't, either.  My toilet stopped running for about 3 days and then it started again. Shortly after they came to my home, I went out of town, so their 30-day guarantee expired before I was able to call them back. I have not asked them to return to fix my toilet."
