Boxford Chimney Sweep - to run a new flue liner and install a new stainless steel chimney cap We hired J.Griffin Heating & Plumbing to disconnect an ancient "snowman-style" oil-fueled steam boiler with attached "instant" water heater, and replace it with a gas boiler & free-standing gas water heater. Fast. Efficient. Clean. Pleasant & willing to answer all of our questions. All 3 companies provided very high quality experiences! I would hire any/all of them again. After I requested an estimate, I got a quick call from the office to schedule a time for one of their comfort advisors to come out to our home. Sam, my comfort advisor was very knowledgeable, and I appreciated his low pressure presentation. Once the work was booked, because our installation was complex, Joe came out and came up with a plan to vent the exhaust on the side of my house to minimize the number of pipes on the front of my house. The installation went very well, and they installed a temporary water heater so we were only without hot water for less than a day. They responded to call within 45 minutes, evaluated issue, gave us price, Within another half hour equipment showed up. Staff was friendly professional and efficient. "There was contact from them prior to the appointment and the guys called within 30 minutes when they were to arrive. They replaced our boiler in one day and the second day was to install a Modean heater in basement. The guys were great, very knowledgeable, cleaned up the space very well, and took away the old boiler. The only hiccup was they received an incorrect part for the outdoor sensor; they needed to come back to install it. I was disappointed only when I had to call 10 days later to see when they could come back and put it in. The part must have arrived, because they scheduled us right away (to be installed in a few days). No clue as to why we weren't called when the part arrived to finish the job, but I would still recommend them."
