For $1000.00, the plumber removed the house trap and ran the line directly to the sewer, cleaned the sump basin, and we have not had an issue since. In the end, we saved thousands of dollars and a lot of unnecessary drilling which would not have fixed the issue. I do not think that Rob was being deceitful in any way, but I was disturbed that he did not find the existing basin which was under a large, loose tile in the utility room where we stood discussing the issue for 30 minutes. In my desperation to fix the problem, I very nearly did not get a second opinion; boy, am I glad I did!
