In talking through our architecture and location, he determined this was most likely something that could be solved by Baltimore City services (for free). That turned out to be the case. Knock You Out could have tried to make some money off of me by saying they needed to come out and look at it, then referring me to the City, and then charging me for their time/truck-roll (while prolonging the entire thing for me). Knock You Out is not cold and unscrupulous. By spending time with me on the phone, but doing no work here and making nothing from it, they proved themselves to be honest and decent people. And that may be the main thing we shop for in home services."

I called him late afternoon and we discussed replacing the tank, which was about 12 years old. He asked about the type heater we had now and because I was unsure he asked if I could take a photo and text it to him. I did so and he quoted me a price and arrived early the next morning. I was really impressed that instead of bringing the heater and equipment through the house, he and his assistant brought it down our very steep hill and brought it in, where it was to be installed.
