"When it comes to ovens, Lennie seems like more of a ?parts changer? than a professional capable of diagnosing and troubleshooting the specific issue. Our oven was making ignition but no gas was being released, he thought it was the valves so he changed them and brought igniters incase he needed them. Turned out to be the motherboard on the oven. Since he had changed the valves he charged us for the valves and the motherboard. Took 3 + weeks to repair and charged $495.25, a new oven is $700. Majority of the cost was labor. I added up all of the time he spent at our house and he charges about $174 / hr for labor. When I ask how much he charges for labor his answer is ? I don't charge hr rate I charge for my knowledge time gas one flat rate depending name brand appliance.? The oven is repaired and works for now, but we were overcharged. If it were a real professional, they would have diagnosed the issue correctly the first time and changing a motherboard takes 15 minutes."

A week later, and after someone else (not contacted thru Angie's List) had repaired our dishwasher, we finally received a reply from Quick Fix Appliance Services LLC via Angie's List messaging, expressing their interest in our job. I phoned Quick Fix Appliance Services LLC who claimed that they had received our initial request after a considerable delay ("a software problem resulted in communication delays"). While I cannot "undo" my initial Angie's List review of Quick Fix Appliance Services LLC, I can offer this updated correction, applauding Quick Fix Appliance Services LLC for reaching out to me in spite of the delay. I note their interest and will contact them again for any future appliance repair needs. "The provider gave me an estimate of the service call which he met.  The provider gave me a price for the new part which was accurate. The provider worked until he corrected my second problem. "Our washing machine broke down on Saturday afternoon -- why do appliances always break on the weekend? -- and it is no longer covered by warranty. We had used A & S before and were very satisfied with their service so we thought we would try them again.  We called them early Monday morning and they agreed to send a tech between 3:00 and 6:00 that day.  At 3:00, the tech Schuyler called to inform us that he would be at our home in 10 minutes.  We showed him the washer and described the problem.  He checked out the unit and quickly diagnosed the problem as a broken motor coupler.  He gave us an estimate for the time and cost to repair and we agreed.  He had the necessary part and tools in his truck and quickly returned to make the repair. He carefully moved a few things out of his way in the laundry room and tilted the washer in order to make the repair.  All told, he took about 15 minutes to remove the damaged part and install the replacement.  After he re-positioned the washer and replaced the items that he had to move, he tested the machine thoroughly and let it run while he returned his tools to his truck and wrote up the invoice.  He also gave us his cell phone number so we could call him in case we noticed any problems with the repair.  The invoice price matched the estimate exactly, as it should.  Overall, it was another excellent experience with a very good service company."
