"They are excellent. I couldn't find a better company, better price company, quality of work and workmanship. They are very pleasant people and are eager to work with you and they don't indulge you on anything they do. The price depends upon what type of work they do. We have large piece of property and they do trimming, shrubs and lighter stuffs for us here. They do all sorts of things and do a very good job of cleaning up. They do all various kinds of stuffs without a complaint. My neighbor got them first, I got them second then other neighbor saw the quality work they do and they do the same and do good like yard clean-up, mulching. They do it for everybody here. We own two homes and the quality of work they do is an A+ versus anybody who does. Their pricing is very good."

"I had worked with a contractor on a previous large remodeling project, which I was extremely happy with. Since then he had aligned his business with BuildItForU2.
The project was to replace all the trim on my house with PVC so I would never have to paint, or replace, the trim ever again. Good plan and for what my previous contractor did, a good price for that level of craftsmanship. The new company was very professional in establishing quotes and visiting my house. However, the demo team and the installation team were two different subcontractors that I don't think were used before by BuildItForU2.
The demo team cracked some of my window casings on the inside that required some maintenance. The subcontractor stated that it wasn't their doing, but the BuildItForItForU2 guy came out and made sure the problem was fixed. After the demo, the team that installed the trim scraped some of the PVC, which can be seen and may now need to be painted to cover the extensive blemishes. Most of the work was good.
My major complaint was that they should have installed unmarked materials. After numerous back-and-forths, I paid the contractor everything but a remaining $500, and that was the last contact that was made.I think I would use the contractor again based on his professionalism. However, I would make sure to meet his subcontractors to make sure they fully understood the need not to use blemished materials. If the project was to install white trim that would never need to be painted, then there should not be black streaks and other marks on portions of the trim.
I think the main contractor understood that, but the subcontractor did not. I think the BuildItForU2 was a little frustrated that he did not have full control over how the installation went because he hadn't used that subcontractor previously. The $500 was about a 5% discount, but I would rather have paid the full price and have unblemished materials used for the project."

"I live in a heavily wooded area and have been using Acorn for over 8 years to keep power lines, driveway and house clear of potential destruction from downed trees. They have always been professional and reliable. They gave me recommendation to have a small battery chainsaw to do minor work by myself to tide me over until they can come do the big clean-up when needed; this has proved useful when smaller but still too big to move limbs have hit blocked the driveway. Would highly recommend. I have not done a cost comparison; they have been so good to deal with for big jobs I keep them as my go for any tree work I have."

"Great. Dave was the least expensive estimate I received (and I had eight estimates) and also the most professional, so his company was definitely the best value. He always returned my calls promptly (this was a rarity among the drain layers I communicated with) and left my yard and driveway (he had to cut across it to connect the drain to the town sewer) in great shape. I have visions of other landscaping projects and East Coast Irrigation will be at the top of the list when considering contractors."

"Excellent! Another job well done by Ian and crew. This is my 6th year with Newman. Ian and his company are very professional, prompt, and whenever I have a question or concern, he gets back to me within a day; most times within an hour or so! He is willing to do what I ask and always sticks by his agreed-to pricing. This is by far the best lawn company I have used in the past 12 years at my home. Great service, great price!"

"The project went very well. They were punctual and cleaned up after themselves. When they ripped the old roof off and found rotting plywood, replaced it. It's been almost two years now and not one problem with the roof.

I was very happy with the job and have hired Paul to work on another project for me, building a master suite, which I will report on under remodeling - general."

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Gill, MA

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
