This group did it all. The initial visit to assess the issues was informative and helpful. We could see our choices. They offered sound advice and looked at ways to save us money where it was possible. We ended up replacing about half the boards on the oldest deck. The finished product on both decks looks amazing -- like new. The workmen were thoughtful, knowledgeable, hard working, and polite. I was impressed that they even followed up with tips on maintaining the decks for years to come. I will definitely have them back every couple of years just to check on the decks and preserve the investments we have made in them. My highest recommendation."

"They installed about 160 feet of redwood privacy fence with three gates and an additional gated enclosure for a heat pump. For the wood fence itself they did excellent work. Quality material and accommodated some unusual features which meant the entire job was done by one contractor. The owner suggested and installed special gate latches that allow entry with a code on a keypad, which actually got them the job. Their failing was the crew doing the work did not understand how that special gate latch worked, and how to construct a gate to properly use it. I am handy with tools so I was able to spend a day to modify and add to their work to make the latch work. Not everyone is in a position to do that. They over-promised in that crew doing the actual installation needed more guidance for a completely successful installation. So if you have a standard fence and gates with standard Home Depot style hardware, I would recommend them. But if you need something unusual they really are not able to handle it and you need to plan to get that skill set elsewhere."

That in itself was a new experience for me, compared to waiting several days, or longer, or to no call back at all with other contractors. Don himself came the next day and gave me an estimate. He offered ideas and helped me solidify exactly what I wanted. He and his crew were always on time and on schedule. Don was very responsive, either answering right when I called or calling back within a very short time. He made a couple of changes for me that may have seemed a little picky, but he did so with no question and always followed through. If he says he will do something, he does it. They completed the project in only 3 1/2 days, a bit faster than promised and left the area clean of any debris. Price wise, he wasn't the cheapest bid or the most expensive bid, but was right in line with the average going price for such services. I felt comfortable with the price because I felt he knew what he was doing and I appreciated his professional manner. I'm willing to pay for that quality of character, as well as the quality of work. This was one of the most pleasurable experiences I've ever had with a contractor. I am so happy with my deck. It's just beautiful. I wouldn't hesitate to hire his company again and to recommend him to friends and family."
