"Joe Delfine from JD Michael Construction was the general contractor/project manager for a whole house renovation. Joe supported our process from pre-purchase of the house through the renovation and working the inspection list for our eventual sale. Joe managed every aspect of the renovation managing more than 25 subcontractors and a budget close to $150,000. This included formal renovation design, permitting, scheduling, subcontractor management, financial management procurement, scheduling, and safety and quality control. Joe's tenants of safety, quality and timeliness were key to our successful and profitable renovation. The job consisted of: design, complete demolition of the interior/exterior down to bare studs, demolition and removal of a two story concrete out building, procurement of materials and oversight for new siding and roof, all new windows, electrical and plumbing, subfloor repair and installation, new hardwood/carpet/tile flooring, new drywall throughout the entire house, paint, trim, cabinet/vanity installation, lighting, and more. This project was successful because JD Michael positively supported every aspect of the project. We are continuing to work with Joe/JD Michael Construction on another project as well as future projects."

"This was definitely a 5 star operation from the initial discussions to the finishing touches! For a major renovation and upgrade to our master bathroom we reviewed potential contractors and their customer comments. VKB stood out. Our VKB designer Sean clearly has artistic talent and lots of design experience. He patiently worked with us, showing us 3D design options as we considered alternative configurations and materials. When we were satisfied with the design, Sean transitioned us smoothly to the build phase, introducing Jason as our project manager and Walter as our crew chief. Sean personally familiarized Jason with the project, inviting us to share our thoughts and any concerns. During the renovation, Walter and his crew would carefully isolate the MBR work from the rest of the house, sealing off the room and path to the front door with plastic barriers and floor coverings every morning and remove them every evening. Everyone was polite and sensitive to our living space. Jason was responsive to our wishes to refine several design aspects as the work proceeded, and Walter and his crew smoothly made the alterations. After the main construction was completed Jason remained very attentive to our ‘punch list’ of remaining details and our questions until all had been resolved. Walter ensured very high-quality work down to the finest detail. All the work from design to completion was well within the timeframe we had hoped. In the end, we have a beautiful MBR well beyond our original expectations!"

"Gus Moniodis of 4 Seasons Construction, LLC did a fantastic job on remodeling my kitchen. My house was built in the early 70’s and the kitchen needed to be gone. He did a fantastic job on clearing everything out and even worked around my appliances that I was keeping. He was very helpful on suggesting were I could purchase my cabinets and countertop at reasonable prices. Gus also did whatever I asked and even gave suggestions on some things because this was my first venture on doing anything like this. He was very professional and left my house clean, once he was finished for the day. Always on time and communicating which is very important to me. I know who I’ll be calling on my next project!!"

"Last week Dimitri and his crew finished remodeling 2 of my bathrooms. I am thrilled with the results! They gutted both bathrooms down to the studs and properly rebuilt the walls with cement backer board in the showers and on the floors. These gentlemen are true artists. They painstakingly cut my 12”x24” tiles so that my niche was centered. They took their time to make sure my mosaic accent tile was smooth and even. Since the walls in my old house aren’t square, Dimitri worked his magic to make my vanities fit against the walls. In my Master bathroom, 3 walls were removed in order to enlarge my shower and overall bathroom space. They moved plumbing, set up new electrical sockets and lights, installed a new exhaust fan which vents to the outside and removed a wall in order to put in a smooth gliding pocket door. The installation of a glass frameless shower door and a glass door above the tub was perfect; the doors float along the tracks as smooth as silk. This is a family owned business. Dimitri, his two sons and another crew member came to work on time every day. Even though they worked long hours, it was apparent that they loved their job. I certainly reaped the benefits of their expertise. I highly recommend this company for any remodeling job. I will definitely call them back to remodel my third bathroom and put a composite material like Trex on my deck."

Our designer Julie gave us a design that we really like and maximize the use of the space. Justin Mason the project manager was great to work with. He kept us informed about the status of the project and was available whenever we had questions. Most importantly he was honest and upfront about any change orders to make sure we were comfortable with them before accepting them. Franklin and his crew who did the day to day work were great guys and really worked hard to make sure we had a quality project. I have to say that we are extremely pleased with how our bathroom turned out and how beautiful it looks. Santos and his team were extremely professional and accommodated all of our requests. The company is affordable and Santos worked within our budget without charging any hidden fees. "Now that we are the deep of winter, I am so thankful we had AES replace all our windows (basement and garage included) with their triple-paned replacement windows as part of our first round of renovations on an old house. They replaced them in the late August–early September 2017 timeframe. I can't imagine what our energy bills would be without them. Their window crew of two replaced all 30-ish windows in 3 or 4 days. (for any potential customers planning to do something similar, please understand our house was unfurnished at the time, it helped the installers work quickly). The installation is excellent—clean caulk lines, sturdy, tidy. We knew what we were in for because we previously had them replace doors on another property. The windows themselves are a good product. They are manufactured by Alside. We got an assortment of casement, slider, and picture windows. Initially, we were shocked at how thick the new window frames were—they took up more window space than the older ones—but in our research we found this is the norm for replacement windows. We're quite satisfied with the look of them now. They open/close/lock perfectly, have easily removable screens, and just generally look good. As with any AES service, it was definitely a tough price tag, but it truly is "you get what you pay for" and a sound investment that I expect will last the life of the house. I would and will continue to work with AES for further renovation projects."
