"The technician emptied the freezer, which was in the basement, to work on the part that needed repair. Then he neglected to put anything back into the freezer, including a turkey I had bought for Christmas and a rack of ribs. Two days after he left, I went out of town for two weeks. The turkey actually exploded and spewed its liquid all over everything, which had to be discarded. I let AHS know and they couldn't even bother to call me or follow up on this. "They were professional, courteous, and friendly. Arrived when they said they would, explained exactly what was wrong, and kept me informed throughout. Tried replacing an inexpensive part first, at no extra cost, to see whether that would fix the problem. Only when that failed did they do the more expensive repair. They could have told me from the start that the expensive repair was needed, and I would have had no way of knowing differently. This makes me feel that I can trust them to do only required repairs, and not pad the job with unnecessary work. Update: I have since tried using them for refrigerator repair which they say they do. One time they came and said they needed to come back but didn't, another time said they would come but after repeated calls, didn't. I don't know what happened since I used them last."
