"5 Star removed and replaced the crumbling concrete step and the spalling stoop of our condo building and 80 feet of sinking sidewalk along a heavily trafficked and sloped public way. The work far exceeded expectations. 5 Star was communicative and punctual leading up to the construction day. On the morning of construction day, 5 Star's crew arrived before the scheduled start time to set up and prep the area, so actual work began exactly at the agreed-upon start time. Demolition and removal was precise, quick and thorough. The company president himself supervised the concrete pour and worked onsite until the job was completed, actually doing all of the precision work of constructing concrete stairs and shaping a new sidewalk, with a special eye for grading the sidewalk surface with our irregular terrain. 5 Star used premium materials in the pour. Throughout the day, families and other passersby stopped to watch the work, and it became a small community affair. One retired neighbor, who had worked in construction, sat on a park bench and marveled at the work all day, commenting what a professional team this was. The job was completed by mid-aftgernoon, and cleanup was given as much attention as the construction; except for the "Wet Cement" caution tape, you'd never know so much work had just been done on the site. The four-man crew was friendly, considerate and professional."

"Francisco was very nice to deal with and worked with my vision to create a large patio for a future basketball court. The workers were all very friendly and worked very hard. Ran into some rain on the last day which caused some variance in appearance of the concrete but hoping it will even out over time. Portions of the patio still needs to be scrubbed from residue but over all it looks good. They also brought in 2 trucks of soil and fresh sod to get everything looking back to normal. In addition I also had them tie my downspouts away from the house and near storm lines. I’d recommend the company to a friend or anyone looking for a concrete professional."

"From the first visit we felt Tony would do a great job for us. We had an unlevel, cracked, ugly asphalt driveway and a one-step stoop that was so high, it was scary to step down from. The melted snow ran from the driveway into our garage...that is how much higher our old blacktop driveway was. Tony envisioned a stoop with two steps for safety and esthetics and proposed the idea to us. Obviously, we loved it. Tony was there answering every question, helping us choose materials and always replied within 24 hours, which we found that completely acceptable. So we signed up! Then the work started and we were equally impressed with John who did all the supervision of their concrete team. "Hardrock Inc. Francisco & His Father did an absolute great job. They went the extra mile to check border pavers we had seen in the area as well as even visit the sites which we had seen in adjacent towns to try and match the look we were trying to achieve. They worked through a rain storm during the demolition phase of the project, they didn't damage the work site in any significant manner. My driveway concrete had settle at least 6-8 inches near my garage area and in front of my stoop, Francisco said we can build up that area. In fact the original builder didn't place adequate basing so he had underestimated by 1/2 the material cost, but told me; my error and would only charge 1/2 the extra basing material needed to complete the job. They cleaned up and any small detail, like small part of sod grass was damaged, they replaced with new as well as finished work on the mailbox on a Sunday so we could be good to go before the mail showed up on Monday, because they promised. Best Contractor experience I've had, and I have used and talked to many a contractor in my day. Hardrock Inc. best concrete and asphalt paving company I have dealt with plus they gave the best price out of a dozen contractors, as well as the whole crew were polite and courteous and professional, easy to work with and very humble, why can't all contractor experiences be like this, they even refused when I tried to give them a tip because I was so pleased with the finished project, they vehemently protested, but I insisted that they treat the whole crew they said okay, only because it's for their crew!!!! Hardrock Inc., they are the model of a great contractor and business in their industry, better hire them asap if you need paving needs, these guys are going to be really busy!!!!!"
