"I called three or four concrete companies that advertised 'no job too big or small' and none called me back...except Gibran from Five Star. Our job was pretty small: remove a roughly 6x9' wooden deck and a very cracked old concrete patio about 12x15', replace both with new concrete. Gibran was prompt and responsive in coming to look at the job and providing me with a quote. I didn't have another bid to compare, but looking online, Gibran's price was very reasonable. Concrete work is weather-dependent so it took some days to find the right time when there was no rain, and I could be at the property. Once we settled on a date, his guys were there promptly and got to work. Gibran started with us, left for another site, came back to check, and grabbed a wheelbarrow himself when needed. He was available by phone for any questions I had, but his two guys (Sao and Geraldo) had it all under control. I was impressed at how quickly and smoothly it went, but of course they do this every day. The new pads match the slope of the existing sidewalks perfectly. The pads have now gone through the winter and still look great. We were very satisfied with the job. We'll certainly call Gibran for any future work."

"I had some major work done on my house this year and I went back to someone I trusted: Eddie, Manny and Mike from E&B Masonry. They did a porch project for me in 2018 and it was great. I used them again. They gave me a good price, but I also knew that they would get the job done right. They included me on each decision and checked with me through out the project. I had roofing repairs on my parapet wall where the previous owner had roofed over the limestone causing water building up. During this they found damaged bricks. They took pictures and video to show me what they needed to do. Then they did work on the outside wall where someone else I hired failed to do the tuckpointing. Finally, they installed all new concrete sidewalks from front to back and side to side. This included stairs going down to the basement. They had to pitch the concrete in creative ways and added a new drain to handle additional water. It looks fantastic. I am hiring them to do some additional jobs as well."

"Francisco was very nice to deal with and worked with my vision to create a large patio for a future basketball court. The workers were all very friendly and worked very hard. Ran into some rain on the last day which caused some variance in appearance of the concrete but hoping it will even out over time. Portions of the patio still needs to be scrubbed from residue but over all it looks good. They also brought in 2 trucks of soil and fresh sod to get everything looking back to normal. In addition I also had them tie my downspouts away from the house and near storm lines. I’d recommend the company to a friend or anyone looking for a concrete professional."

"I highly recommend Northscape .John and his crew did a fantastic job redoing my entire backyard, patio and sidewalk. The patio and sidewalk were sloping down about 45 degrees towards my basement after the polar vortex. They removed all of the concrete , raised the dirt, and poured in new concrete. My backyard desperately needed redoing. About 1/3 of it was always flooded after heavy rains. John and his men built a retaining wall on the end of the property to help correct this problem. The yard was also raised and sodded. Everything looks great! This year I plan to have my driveway and sidewalk done along with the front yard. We have a vintage 1930's house, with a narrow driveway, 7 feet wide.  For several years, we've had problems staying on the concrete as we back up the cars, which leaves a strip of dirt instead of grass next to the driveway.

From heavy rains, the soil was eroding considerably. The principal reason for the whole problem was that modern cars are wider than they were when the house was built.

some of my neighbors have the same problems, for their homes were built around the same time.  Most folks have solve it by installing a new concrete or brick driveway that was wider.  Franciso Vego can do that, and quite well, but he suggested a much cheaper fix that was affordable and met our budget.

It was installed in a day, and has worked wonderfully since then.
