"Level up did an awesome job, they took time to listen, addressed my concerns with the job. My backyard doesn’t look the same anymore. I will definitely call them again when it’s time for my patio."

"Jay was absolutely amazing! He came right away and assessed the damage, told us a date, and kept us posted along the way. He removed and replaced the damaged mortar and brick, then sealed the brick to prevent any further leaking. Jay was a pleasure to work with. He went way out of his way to make sure we got our issue resolved. And the finished product looks SO good! Would definitely hire again and recommend!"

"I did use them this past year, and thought they're very good. I thought they did just a really fine job. They came out, gave us good recommendations, we applied them and our lawn definitely improved in areas that I was hoping to get it to improve."

"It went wonderfully.  Robert provided me with two detailed estimates in order for me to make a cost-effective decision and once they arrived, their work ethic and attention to getting the job completed was very focused. The communication was prompt when I had questions and they were always pleasant and polite. <br /> Of note, being a woman who owns a home and talking to contractors, there is sometimes a condescension or a tendency to talk to "my husband." (I am single).  These fellows treated me with respect, they actively listened, they were polite, professional and efficent.   Thank you for truly being a 21st century company and for showing that extra bit of professionalism that I so appreciate. <br /> I will recommend this company to all my friends! <br />"

"Ran into difficulties not caused by the contractor.  This left the project unfinished for sometime and then it was hard to get them back to finish the project.  However, the quality of the finished project was completed as was agreed and specified. <br />"

"Absolutely love the job they did. He was able to take the vision I had in my head and place it in my yard. Also, a couple years later, a person driving a car crashed thru our fence & landed in our backyard. I contacted Radik to have them come out to check to make sure everything was ok as a capstone was dislodged & landed in the middle of the backyard. They came out and everything was stable/intact and they placed the capstone where it belonged. FYI - no one was injured in this accident."

"They service turned out very good. We have known the for a very long time. They are pretty thorough, they know what they are doing, and they don't skimp around on it. I know they do all kinds of things, and I don't think we have touched on all of their services, but they do a good job. Their price is a bit high."

FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Glenwood, IA

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
