"My issue was that my garbage disposal was no longer running, only humming. They came by and inspected it, then provided a suitable replacement with warranty. They were quick and efficient, and I've had no further issues since."

"Excellent- Steve identified a less expensive repair than I planned and still met my goals. Instead of replacing the entire pull down stairs for the attic, Steve was able to improvise by using regular hardware to replace the broken hinge (OEM part no longer available). I’m very pleased with the repair and Steve’s excellent communication."

"Cory was great! No short cuts. He said the door went in perfect, but had issues. He made it happen. The door was plumbed to exact measurements. Personally, I highly recommend Cory. Polite, and professional. After the job was finished, I said I would clean up. He said no, the job is not finished until I clean up. I highly recommend Cory. Best, Scott"

"Installer/carpenter did expert repair work, was timely, courteous and respectful of our property. He seemed genuinely interested in helping us find the best long term term solutions balanced by near term costs, unlike many contractors who only try to maximize their payout on today's job. Would definitely use Yorktown's Handyman again.

"My appointment was at 8 am and the electrician arrived around 9 am. I had no idea he was coming to me from an hour and a half away. He did call to tell me he would be late and asked about the services I needed. I was able to answer to the best of my ability. He arrived and got right to work and eventually realized he didn't have the correct parts, though he thought he did. He went to Home Depot and got the parts and came back and fixed the issues. All of this caused him to charge me a full extra hour of labor that shouldn't have been necessary. If I had been asked to provide pictures of the parts or a more in depth description of the parts/issue then I wouldn't have had to pay for an extra hour ($140) as well as be even later to work than anticipated."

"I pay a monthly fee to CHW for insurance against equipment failure. Over a month ago CHW sent a repair technician to fix both of my garage doors, the technician made an adjustment on one door and chanced the opener on the other. A week or so ago the second door failed to open. Yes, my door opener is old, but the Warrantee says, if it can’t be fixed it will be replaced. CHW paid the tech $100 and said the rest $200 is on me. Please tell me why I should stay with CHW if I have to pay 2/3rds of the cost to replace the door opener? On a separate issue: Granted I accepted CHW’s offer of a Lowe’s card to replace my dishwasher, because I was unaware of how much dishwashers sell for, it cost me an additional 300. Again, please give me a reason for staying with CHW"

"It turned out well. I used it shortly after I purchased the deal. There were additional charges beyond the big deal amount as I had them repair something that they found while doing it. They did everything as advertised and then in addition to that, they also fixed some molding around the chimney that had become cracked and weathered. I had not used them before. There have been no issues since the service was provided."
